If you're a fan of the clean and simple card making style then today's card is for you. Besides being clean and simple it is so so easy to make.

I cut a piece of white card stock to be 4 x 5 1/4" and adhered it to a white card base. I adhered the die cut panel to the card using craft foam and this card is done.

SUMMER NIGHTS ARE COMING SOON!

One of my all time favorite activities to do as a child, with friends, when our kids were little and as we have begun our retirement years has ALWAYS been camping! Now I will admit I don't sleep in a tent anymore but I did spend many years camping that way and have so many fond memories.

The Summer Nights Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs has made me one happy camper!

Catherine revealed two bundles yesterday from this collection.

 Under the Stars Bundle

  • Star Gazing Stamps & Dies
  • Super Word Die
  • Super Star Sentiments Stamps
  • Under the Stars Patterned Paper
  • Oslo Sequins
and the S'mores Please Bundle

  • Happy Camper Stamps & Dies
  • Cozy Plaid Background Stamp
  • S'mores Please Patterned Paper
  • Kings Canyon Sequins
I've been playing with the S'mores Please Bundle and having a blast!

I started by stamping all the images from the Happy Camper Stamp Set using my mini MISTI and coloring them in using some CP inks and a blender pen. After I colored them in I restamped them then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I just used scissors for the moon because I didn't want it to have the white edge around it.
To make the sky I masked off the 'ground' then used some distress inks and a blending brush. I started by adding the lighter blues everywhere then added the yellow and purple inks in blotches focusing on the center area above the fire then added the darker blue around the edges then black around the outer most edges. I spritzed on some water and dried it quickly to get some 'stars'. I also splattered on some white acrylic paint with a tiny paint brush for even more 'stars'.

I masked off the completed sky then dragged my brown ink pads across the bottom to make the ground. I adhered the images to the card popping up the cute critters so they are in front of the fire and cut a slit in the paw of the one 'holding' the marshmallow on the stick.
I used the mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment directly onto the card panel with Midnight ink. I think I stamped it 3, maybe 4 times to get a good solid print over the distress ink.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

All Dressed Up Summer Trainers

All Dressed Up Stamps is a sponsor this weekend at Passionate Paper Crafters & Friends Facebook Page and for the next few days they are offering something special to its members. I can't tell you what it is but if you pop on over and join the PPCF group you can grab the code.

I'm coloring the super cute Summer Trainers image with my Prismacolor Pencils today.

I'll list all the colors I used below. After coloring the image I cut it with a circle die then layered it onto some fun patterned paper. Half the sentiment is embossed and the other half is stamped and both are tucked under the circle.

I've been using my patterned paper a lot more lately - trying to get through my stash and stop being a hoarder - and I'm having so much fun mixing patterns. It's a great way (and easy too) to add color and fun to your cards.

Here is the list of Prismacolor Pencils that I used:
1101 - Denim Blue
901 - Indigo Blue
914 - Cream
1011 - Deco Yellow
916 - Canary Yellow
942 - Yellow Ochre
934 - Lavender
1025 - Periwinkle
1078 - Black Cherry
912 - Apple Green
941 - Light Umber
947 - Dark Umber
1099 - Espresso
1050 - 10% Warm Grey
1051 - 20% Warm Grey
1056 - 70% Warm Grey
1058 - 90% Warm Grey
935 - Black
938 - White

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care.

CLEAN & SIMPLE WITH CATHERINE POOLER

First let me apologize for my pics. They're kind of dark -  I think I need to order some new bulbs.

I received my order the other day but haven't been feeling well so they've been sitting on the couch beside me for the last few days. But today I felt good enough to play in my craft room and I had so much fun!

I cut the Stitch Your Diamonds Cover Plate die and the Cross Your X's Cover Plate die and layered them on top of each other onto a card base. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they look together.

I stamped a floral image from the Notables & Quotables stamp set and cut it out with the coordinating die.
I had a piece of card stock cut with the straight edged die in the Post This Slim Line Die Set leftover from another card and used it to stamp the sentiment on. I also stamped part of the same floral image under the sentiment.
Using a blender pen I colored in the images with Apricot, Twilight and Black Jack inks. I adhered the cut floral with craft foam for some more dimension.

Thanks for spending some time with me today!

Take care
Susan

THREE ROOM STUDIO SATURDAY CHALLENGE - CIRCLES

Happy Saturday!! Welcome to another Saturday Challenge with Three Room Studio and this week the theme is CIRCLES.
I used the Awesome Coffee Stamp Set today along with a few other goodies.

I stamped the sleeves for the to go cups on some packing paper that came in a package the other day. I used Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink for this and all the stamping. I cut them out then adhered them to the to go cups that I stamped on white card stock and cut out. I stamped the sentiment on one then added some shading using a grey pencil crayon.

I used a few circle dies and cut a bunch of circles from the same paper that I stamped the sleeves on. I added them to a card panel then cut the panel with the large die in the Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle Die set. I then decided it needed some color. I found a piece of patterned paper in my stash with circles and my two favorite colors - blue and green - cut the sides with the same rectangle die and added a strip to the panel then decided to add a few colored circles that match the patterned paper.

I colored up some scrap card stock with Cummerbund and Minted Inks from Catherine Pooler Designs, cut them out with some circle dies then positioned them around the panel.  I stamped some coffee beans around the card then adhered the to go cups popping up the one in the front with some craft foam.

ONE HANDSOME BEAST

I had the urge to make a masculine card today with the Gardener's Notebook Patterned Paper. Probably because my hubby & I have been talking about starting a garden.

I started with the argyle patterned paper then picked the stamp set. I went with the Wild About You Stamp Set because of the sentiment and the deer. I set them up in my mini MISTI  then stamped the deer twice with Icing on the Cake ink and the sentiment with a blending of Green Tea and Eucalyptus inks.
I cut the panel and 3 sides of the argyle patterned paper with the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die Set. I distressed the 4th edge of the argyle paper then adhered them together.

I tore a strip of another paper from the Gardener's Notebook Patterned Paper and adhered it to a white card base. I added the panel to the card base with some craft foam then stamped the starts using Terracotta and Eucalyptus inks.
I added the shadow under the deer using two copic markers to ground the image.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care
Susan

HOW COULD I FORGET

The Cat's Pajamas is a sponsor at The Passionate Paper Creations & Friends Facebook Group and for the next few days they are offering something special to its members. I can't tell you what it is but if you pop on over and join the PPCF group then you can grab the code.

I'm coloring the adorable Never Forget digital image today. Isn't it the cutest elephant!!!!

I printed it out on Mixed Media paper because I knew I wanted to color it with my Tombow markers. I've linked below to all of the colors I used.
Water coloring is soooo forgiving and fun and really fast to do too which is great when you need a card in a hurry.

I dried the image with my heat gun then cut the panel using the largest die in the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die Set and adhered it to a white card base. I added some patterned paper from my scrap stash then printed out the sentiment. I layered it on to some black card stock then cut the hello from black card stock as well and adhered them all directly to the card.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care
Susan

KLM'S FIDO FRIEND SCRAPBOOK PAGE

I'm back with another KLM Digital Designs image but this time I decided to do a scrapbook page. I used to scrapbook a LOT but fell out of it for years. I've slowly been getting back into it but in a smaller version. I used to only do 12x12 pages but lost interest in them. When I came across the travelers notebook size I've been encouraged to start again.

The Fido Friend Digi from the April 2022 release was perfect for these pics of our dog.

I had some patterned paper that I've been saving for just such a project and I had a stamp set with a paw print too so I grabbed some Catherine Pooler Designs inks and a blender pen and started coloring.
When I finished coloring the image I cut it in half and layered it onto some black card stock and added it to my travelers notebook.
I stamped the paw prints, added the patterned paper and the pics that I printed with my Canon Ivy Wireless Color Photo Printer leaving a little room for some journaling.

I've linked to the digi image at the top of this post and to all the other products I've used below.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care
Susan
