HEY FRIEND - SATURDAY CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday!!
It's time for another Saturday Challenge at Three Room Studio and the theme today is to CASE a design team member.

I chose to case the card below by Meghan Shea. It's probably pretty clear as to what inspired me but I'll tell you anyway.
I was inspired first by the patterned paper, then that it was coffee themed although my mugs will have chai in them lol. Lastly the fact that it was a slimline card had me thinking I could stack a LOT of mugs onto my card.

And that's exactly what I did. I used the mug from the Let's Hygge stamp set and stamped it onto a bunch of different patterned paper from Catherine Pooler Designs then fussy cut them all out.
I used the Rounded Checkerboard Stencil and two Catherine Pooler inks for the first layer and adhered that directly to the card base.
I stacked all the mugs onto some grey card stock then added the sentiment from the Hello Friend Stamps & Dies and adhered that to the card with craft foam.

A GLOBAL ADVENTURE BIRTHDAY

I wanted a bright, fun birthday card and the Wavy Stencil with the Take a Peek Stamp Set & Coordinating die from the new Global Adventure collection is perfect for what I had in mind.

I started with the stencil. I sprayed it with Pixie Spray which is a temporary adhesive, then laid it onto a piece of white card stock. Using blending brushes I added one ink color on an angle then another blending each one into the next. After adding all the ink I used a fine tip black sharpie and outlined around each inked up section.

I used the large stitched rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Die Set to cut the panel then added it to a card base with craft foam.

I stamped the giraffe and the hat and cut them out with the coordinating die and adhered them to the card. The only color I added to it was a little It's a Girl ink to the ears.
I stamped the sentiment onto the panel with midnight ink.

GLOBAL ADVENTURE RELEASE DAY AND A VIDEO

Today's the day that the Catherine Pooler Designs Global Adventure release featuring Luxe Inks hits the shop.

You can find ALL of the new products HERE at 9am EST today.

My card today is by request and uses 3 of the inks being released today.

You can see the original card HERE and today's card uses almost all the same products - I just switched up the colors.

I have a video below showing the whole process

or you can watch it on YouTube

I love how this card turned out. Ink smooshing is one of my favorite things to do on a card - the results are different every time and it's always fun to see how it will turn out.

I WANT A HIPPOPOTAMUS FOR CHRISTMAS

Only a hippopotamus will do.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that sings that song when they see the hippo in the Take a Peek Stamp.

The Take a Peek Stamp & the coordinating Take a Peek Die Set are part of the Global Adventure Release from Catherine Pooler Designs. All the new products will be in the shop tomorrow, Wednesday, October 13th at 9am EST
BUT if you're a StampNation member then you can order today at 9am EST. Not a member? Click here to sign up to this amazing community of stampers and gain early access to shopping.

I used the following new products on my card today:
Take a Peek Stamp Set
Take a Peek Dies
Across the Globe Patterned Paper
Martini, Dress Blues and Flame inks

I knew I wanted the hippo to be coming out of a stocking for a Christmas card so I also used the following Catherine Pooler Designs products:
Hang Your Stocking Dies
The Man With The Bag Stamps & Dies
Nostalgic Season Stamp Set
Folk Star Slimline Die

I was originally going to make a slimline card but after I got most of it put together I accidentally dropped an ink pad onto the panel so I cut it down.

***I've linked to all the new products I used below but please note they will not go live in the shop until the dates and times mentioned above.***

CHEERS TO GLOBAL ADVENTURES

Catherine Pooler Designs newest collection, Global Adventures, was revealed today and will be in the shop on Wednesday, October 13th at 9am EST. If you're a StampNation member you will have early access to shop on Tuesday, October 12th.

There are 6 new ink colors in this release and I have to say they are my new fave colors. I've never been much of an orange, yellow and purple fan but the ones in this collection have me rethinking that. Look at them in this pic! Aren't they gorgeous!! I can't stop playing with them. They are available in a bundle of 6, individually or in a bundle of 8 with the two original Luxe colors of Cranberry Fizz and Deck the Halls.

I used the following new products in my card today:
Take a Peek Stamps and Dies
Glam & Glitz inks
Wavy Lines Stencil
Across the Globe Patterned Paper
World of Thanks Stamp Set

I wanted two zebras having drinks celebrating the Global Adventure Release and since the stamp set comes with one zebra image - the image on the right - I did mirror stamping to get the image for the left side.  I used the coordinating die to cut out both images. I will be sharing a video soon showing just how I used the die for the right image to cut out the image on the left.
I added a piece of patterned paper to the card base, a strip of paper that I did some ink blending of Glam and Sparkling Berry inks using the Wavy Lines Stencil. I added the zebras then a couple of drinks stamped with Glitz ink then a quick embossed sentiment using the World of Thanks stamp set.

Gnomes For The Holidays Hop with Scrap'n Stamp

Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Scrap'n Stamp Hop where the theme is Gnome For The Holidays. As usual, there is a $50 Gift Certificate to the Scrap'n Stamp Shop up for grabs for one lucky person who leaves a comment so be sure to leave some love at all the stops on the hop.

Until 10/11/21 if you use code Thankful you can save $10 off your order of $75 or more.

I used the Spellbinders Be Merry Holiday Gnomes Stamp Set and covered a piece of card stock cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" with all three Gnomes with Nocturne ink.

I colored in the images with copic markers then went around each image with gray and then filled in all the gaps with a lighter gray.

I adhered the panel directly to a card base then embossed a sentiment from Picket Fence Studios stamp set called A Gnome Christmas with white embossing powder onto black card stock. This seems to be my go to way to add a sentiment - it's simple and classic.

I adhered the sentiment directly to the card base and called this card done. This came together very quickly and I really liked it so I made two more.

Now it's time to hop. I am last today but I did list everyone below in case you missed anyone.

Don't forget to leave a comment below because one lucky person will be winning a $50 Gift Certificate to shop in the Scrap'n Stamp shop.

TIME FOR DRESS BLUES AND GLAM

All of the new Luxe ink colors from Catherine Pooler Designs have been revealed! WOOHOO!! And they will be in the shop on Wednesday, October 13th at 9am EST, unless you're a StampNation member then you get access to shop on Tuesday, October 12th at Noon EST! Not a member? Click HERE to learn all about this amazing group.

I had so much fun making the card above. I started by doing some ink smooshing onto some watercolor card stock by using ink from the ink pad and a little water. Next I used ink from the re-inker bottle and a little water to get a more intense color. I added some ink splatters then pulled out a few stamp sets to layer onto two opposite corners using Black Jack ink. I stamped the floral image a few times using my MISTI then quickly heat set it with clear embossing powder. I went back in with a tiny paint brush and re-inker with a drop or two of water and painted in the flower petals. I used a Posca Paint Pen to add some detail , then added it to a card base with craft foam. A simple embossed sentiment also added on craft finishes this card.

The next pic shows two quick and easy tags. The right one I ink blended on the Glam and Dress Blues ink, sprayed some water to get the drops, then splattered it with some white paint from my Posca Paint Pen. Next I stamped the sentiment then stamped & embossed the snowflakes and used the Posca Paint Pen to fill in the letters.
The other tag uses paper from the Urban Plaid Paper Pack, the same sentiment and a couple of ornaments from the Nostalgic Season Stamp set.

This next card uses the Glam and Dress Blues ink along with the Uptown ink that was revealed yesterday. I ink blended the card panel, added some water droplets, stamped and embossed the snowflakes then added an embossed sentiment.

My last card today uses all 6 of the new ink colors. I cut a slimline card base then die cut the Sitting Pretty Slimline Die and adhered it to the base leaving all the pieces intact. Next I stamped out a tree from the Nostalgic Season Stamp Set - one in each of the new colors - cut them out with the coordinating die then stamped on the base of the tree using Icing on the Cake ink. I adhered them to the card base - 3 with craft foam and 3 directly to the panel. A simple embossed sentiment finishes this card.

Which colors are your faves from this collection? I always gravitate to blues and greens but this new collection has me re-thinking the oranges and yellows. I love them all.
Leave me a comment saying which is your fave - I'd love to know.

UPTOWN WITH MARTINI FROM CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Blues and greens have ALWAYS been a favorite color combo of mine and these two new inks from Catherine Pooler Designs are now my favorites. The Uptown and Martini inks are so rich, deep and gorgeous and look incredible together.

These two new inks, along with the two revealed yesterday will be in the shop on Wednesday, October 13th at 9am EST

If you're a StampNation member then you get access to shopping on Tuesday, October 12th. Not a member yet? Click HERE to learn all about it.

I ink blended Uptown on the tag and splattered it with water to get the background for the tree. The tree is stamped with Martini & Icing on the Cake inks and die cut with the coordinating die. I added it to the tag with craft foam then embossed the sentiment & added it directly to the tag.

For the card below I ink blended both Martini and Uptown inks onto a card panel then splattered it with water. Love that look. I embossed some card stock with Halo embossing powder then cut the snowflakes and adhered them to the panel. I added that to the card base with craft foam then added the embossed sentiment with more craft foam.

This next card I stamped the Ornamental Background stamp with Uptown ink onto a card panel then quickly embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next I ink blended on Martini, Glitz and Flame inks then wiped it with a micro fiber cloth to remove the ink that was sitting on top of the embossed areas. I added that to a card base with craft foam then added the embossed sentiment.

This next card uses the Vintage Baubles background Stamp. I inked it up with Glitz, Flame and Martini onto a card panel I used the same inks to blend around the edges of the panel then added it to a card base with craft foam. A simple embossed sentiment finishes this card off.

For this last card I stamped the Garland Border at the top of the card panel and colored it in using all 4 ink colors - I love the look of Martini and Uptown on the leaves with the pop of Flame and Glitz in the berries and flowers. The stockings are hung from the border with the middle one attached with craft foam. I stamped a simple sentiment with Midnight ink then added the panel to a card base with craft foam.

FLAME AND GLITZ FROM CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Have you heard the news? Catherine Pooler Designs is releasing 6 new ink colors on Wednesday, October 13th. These colors are part of the Party Collection and today she is showing 2 of the colors - Flame and Glitz.

If you are new to the CPD ink you can click HERE to learn more about them and how they work.

Some of my favorite things about her inks are how easy it is to stamp with. I get a solid, crisp image every time and I don't have to work hard to get it. I love that they are water reactive which is great for ink smooshing - one of my favorite techniques. And they are great for ink blending too.

Today's colors are Flame and Glitz and I did some simple stamping to show you the solid, crisp image that I mentioned earlier.

***I've linked to the new ink below but please note - they will not go live in the shop until October 13th at 9am EST***
