BIRTHDAY BUNNY

I have been wanting to participate in more challenges and decided tonight was the night. I searched up a few of my favorites and decided on The Color Hues and Freshly Made Sketches.

The Color Hues colors for this challenge were Turquoise and Coral - two of my favorites and the sketch challenge looked like it would work for the idea that was brewing in my head.

I love the bunny in the Birthday Wishing Stamp Set from Colorado Craft Company and have been wanting to try the storybook coloring with it. I chose two light grey Copic Markers (N0 & N4). It's so easy to do that I think I'll be pulling out some more stamps to try it on. I love the look - perfect for clean and simple cards.
The image only has one balloon but I wanted two so I stamped the image onto the panel then stamped the balloon portion again onto some scrap paper. I stamped it twice and used Coral Cabana and Aquatini ink from Catherine Pooler Designs to color them in. Instead of using a blender pen to add color I just swiped the ink pad across the balloon then cut it out and added it to the panel. I added a swipe of grey Copic Marker along the bottom for a bit of shading then drew in a balloon string with a fine tip marker for the second balloon.

The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Many Ways Stamp Set from Catherine Pooler Designs - one of my favorites for birthday sentiments. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder onto black card stock.

The panels are cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackable Dies. I used the second largest one from the large set for the top panel and the largest one from the small set for the bottom panel.
A little bit of Tea Rose Copic marker (93) for the nose and the ear and this card is done.

I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU

Hi Everyone! Hubby and I decided to take an impromptu camping trip. The smoke  due to the wild fires in our area has been really heavy so we decided to pack up our trailer and head north to where we used to live. It was a great trip down memory lane for us. The internet was very sketchy in our campgrounds so I haven't been blogging. We're home now, the wild fires are still burning but it's raining heavy and hopefully that will help.

Tomorrow (24th) is our 30th Wedding Anniversary so I thought this cute card made with the Squad Ghouls Stamp Set was perfect to give my hubby.

The Monster Squad Bundle is Halloween themed and I have made Halloween themed cards but I've also made birthday cards, just because cards and an Anniversary card too.

I started this card by mixing some embossing paste and Lime Rickey Re-inker to make some green embossing paste. I used that with the Pinwheel Stencil and when it dried I cut it with one of the Circles Dies
Next I used the Who's There? Cover Plate Die and cut it with a larger circle die and black card stock. I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto black card stock and cut that with a smaller circle die.
After stamping a monster from the Squad Ghouls Stamp set and cutting it with the coordinating die I decided not to color it and just add lots of googly eyes. I layered all of this onto a piece of the patterned paper from the Treats Only Patterned Paper and then added it all to a black card base.

have a BOO-tiful DAY!

This card makes me smile.

I used all but one of the products in the Monster Squad Bundle from Catherine Pooler Designs latest release. I used the Squad Ghouls Stamps and coordinating dies, the Treats Only Patterned Paper and the Mockingbird Heights Sequin Mix. I also used the Sitting Pretty Slimline Die which is part of the Boho Extras Bundle.

I started with the Sitting Pretty Slimline Die and cut it from white card stock. I kept all the pieces together and adhered it to a white slimline card base.

Next I stamped the ghouls from the Squad Ghouls stamp set and cut them with with the coordinating dies. I used a blender pen and colored them in.

I decided they needed something to stand on so I cut two of the papers from the Treats Only Patterned Paper to fit across the card. I also took the two small sentiment stamps from the Squad Ghouls Stamp set and stamped them in between the bats.

I stamped a few accessories for the ghouls then added them all to the card popping the ghoul in the middle up with some craft foam. A few googly eyes finish the ghouls.

I added the sentiment with some craft foam then pulled out a few of the bats from the Mockingbird Heights Sequin Mix to adhere to the card.

I'm playing along with the challenges at:

A SQUAD GHOULS BIRTHDAY CARD

It's almost time for the new release from Catherine Pooler Designs and it's awesome! Fall is my favorite time of year and this release ticks all the boxes for me.

My cards are from the Monster Squad Bundle and have been having a blast. It's a Halloween themed bundle but I've been making more than Halloween cards.

The Monster Squad Bundle includes the following:

- Squad Ghouls Stamp Set
- Squad Ghouls Dies
- Pinwheel Stencil
- Treats Only Patterned Paper
- Mockingbird Heights Sequin Mix

I have family and friends with birthdays either on Halloween or very close to it. As kids they always had Halloween/Birthday parties and everyone dressed up so I decided to make a birthday card.

I used the Squad Ghouls Stamp Set and some masking paper to stamp the ghouls with Midnight ink onto the card panel. I colored them in using a blender pen and purposely didn't blend them smoothly as I wanted it to look like fur.
Next I used the Treats Only Patterned Paper and the balloon die from the Woohoo Die Set and cut out a LOT of balloons because what's a party without balloons right? I also cut a few party hats. I adhered all the balloons and hats, drew on some strings and stamped a little fun on the top of the hats using the Woohoo Stamp Set.
The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Many Ways Stamp Set and used the MISTI to be sure I got a good impression.

Here are the other bundles that are being released just in case you've missed seeing them.

The Front Porch Bundle includes the following:

- Front Porch Pumpkins Stamp Set
- Front Porch Pumpkins Dies
- Great Circle Die

The Painted Leaves Bundle includes the following:

- Painted Leaves Stamp Set
- Painted Leaves Dies
- Light as a Feather Background Stamp

The BOHO Feathers Bundle includes the following:

- BOHO Feathers Stamp Set
- BOHO Feathers Dies
- Round of Thanks Dies

The BOHO Extras Bundle includes the following:

- Sitting Pretty Slimline Die
- Give Thanks Sentiments Stamp Set
- BOHO Fall Slimline Patterned Paper
- Urban Plaid Patterned Paper

SITTING PRETTY WITH BOHO FALL

Have you heard? Catherine Pooler Designs has new products that will be releasing next week! And it's all about Fall and things that happen in the fall.
Wednesday, August 11th at 9am EST the BOHO FALL COLLECTION will be in the shop but if you're a StampNation member then you get to shop on Tuesday, August 10th at noon EST!
SO COOL!
Not a member? Click HERE to learn more about it.

One of the bundles being released is the Boho Extras Bundle.
Look at all those plaids!! So pretty!

This bundle includes the following:
- Sitting Pretty Slimline Die
- Give Thanks Sentiment Stamp Set
- Boho Fall Slimline Patterned Paper
- Jackson Sequins
- Urban Plaid Patterned Paper

I'm using the Sitting Pretty Slimline Die and LOTS of ink on my card today.

This did take a lot of time to make but I think it was worth it. I made some chai, turned on an audio book and got to work.
First I die cut the Sitting Pretty Slimline die with premium white cardstock and saved every piece.
I adhered the frame to a card base then pulled out some inks to start coloring. And pulled some more inks and then even more. Fourteen different ink colors in total and I LOVE IT!!

After I added ink to a few pieces I'd glue them in place then add ink to a few more then glue them in place and kept doing that until it was filled in.
I kept the sentiment really simple and added a few sequins to cover up some ink smudges.

SEAS THE DAY HOP WITH SCRAP'N STAMP CANADA

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the Seas the Day Blog Hop with Scrap'n Stamp Canada. This month we are featuring interactive cards with the sea as the theme.

This weekend there's an Interactive Sale - 20% off select items. This runs through 08/09/21 (while supplies last)

Leave a comment here and at all the stops along the hop for your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Scrap'n Stamp shop.

Now for the card.
I don't do a lot of interactive cards - not sure why because they are a LOT of fun to make and for the recipient when they open it.

I started with the Wipe Kit from Photoplay. It comes with all the pieces you need to make 3 cards. All you need are the pieces to decorate with.

I used some retired papers that had the colors I was looking for. I pulled out a bunch of the Whittles Dies from Poppystamps, the Lil Lighthouse stamps and dies from Heffy Doodle and the Playful Happy Birthday Die from Poppystamps and created this sea themed card.

It's much easier to show than it is to explain how this goes together so I made a video showing you how easy the process is.
Click here to watch it on YouTube

I hope I covered everything but if you have any questions please, leave me a comment below and I will gladly answer them.

Now it's time to hop! Next up is Jessica - be sure to check out what she's created for you but leave a comment first for a chance to win that $50 Gift Certificate.

Here is the complete hop order in case you missed any along the way.

DAY 1 OF #THEDAILYMARKER30DAY COLORING CHALLENGE

I love to color. Sometimes I don't make time for it but with Kathy Racoosin's Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge just starting up again I'm determined to make the time.

I started day 1 with my copic markers. I don't have many and the few that I have don't get used too often as I'm not comfortable with them. But there's only one way to become comfortable and that's practice. So practice I will.

I used the Coffee and Love Digital Image from Gracielle Designs. Both cards are the same image, using the same colors but colored a little differently. The pic above and below are done with ink blending. I chose a dark and a light of each shade. I filled in most of the part that I was coloring with the lighter color leaving a little white space then added the darker color. The flower has the darker color in the center of the flower and the cup has it around the edges. To finish I went back in with the lighter color and blended them together.

The next two pics I did with all the same colors and added the lighter color first just like in the cards above.

When I added the darker shade I added more of it than I did in the first one and used thicker brush strokes. I think there's a name for this kind of coloring but I can't remember what it is.
If you know, please leave me a comment below. Thanks.

I like how they both turned out but I think my favorite is the second one. I've got some other images I'll practice some more coloring on.
