YOU ARE A JOY - FLUTTER BUNDLE

I can honestly say that the Flower Burst Cover Plate and the Wings of Joy stamps & dies are my favorite products to play with from the Flutters & Blooms Collection. Don't get me wrong - ALL the products are amazing and the things I'm seeing the design team make with the other products are truly awesome but there's something about these ones have my heart.

My card today is super easy. First I used the Flower Burst Cover Plate to cut what was originally going to be a stencil. I laid it over a piece of white card stock and blended Pink Champagne ink over the whole piece. But when I went to lift it off it shifted just a bit and I loved how that looked so I grabbed some liquid adhesive and adhered it to the panel I had just inked shifting it ever so slightly so as to see some white.

I stamped the butterfly onto some vellum and heat set it with Wanderlust embossing powder. I adhered it to the panel using some liquid adhesive on the body section. To hide the glue I covered the body with some of the Mission Sequins.
I did some direct to paper with Twilight ink, heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder, cut it into pieces and added it to the card.
I added the panel to some craft foam and then to a white card base.

FLUTTERS & BLOOMS RELEASE DAY

Today's the day!
The Flutters & Blooms Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs is in the shop today at 9am EST. What's on your shopping list?

I have two cards today featuring the Beehive Background Background Stamp.
Because the stamp is a background one I used my MISTI for both cards to ensure solid coverage.

I inked up the Beehive Background stamp with Lemongrass and Sauna ink using a blending tool to soften the edges where the two colors meet. I stamped the areas with the bees again with Black Jack ink onto another piece of card stock, cut them out and adhered them to the ink blended panel. I stamped the 'BE' adding an extra E and covered the die cut 'kind' with Black Jack ink. I cut the panel down and adhered it to another piece of card stock that I covered with Black Jack ink and then added that to a white card base with craft foam.

This next one is stamped with embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder. I cut a few of the bees from one of the sheets of paper in the Flutters & Blooms Patterned Paper Pack and adhered them to the panel popping a couple of them up with craft foam. I did some more direct to paper with Twilight ink. I heat embossed the happy with white embossing powder and cut it out adding the same 'BEE' sentiment as the card above. I added it all to a white card base.

This is such a fun background stamp to play with. I've had so much fun playing with products from this collection - you'll definitely be seeing more cards soon.

FLUTTERS & BLOOMS = AWESOME

ONE. MORE. DAY!
Wednesday, April 29th at 9am EST all the products from Catherine Pooler Designs Flutters & Blooms Collection will be live in the shop and ready for you to order.

I've been having so much fun with this collection.  My card today uses a leftover piece from this card I shared the other day.

After I cut the butterfly for the card above - you can see how I made it HERE - I cut the leftover piece to fit the front of a card and made a shaker card. I adhered a window sheet to the back and then added some foam adhesive strips all around the edge of the butterfly and around the outer edge of the card. I filled up the butterfly with some Mission Sequins and added it to a card base. I added a few flowers and leaves to the front, some sequins for the body of the butterfly and a simple sentiment. I die cut the word awesome and pressed it into the Sangria ink pad a few times until it was nice and dark.

Winner to be announced  the week of the 11th of May 2020.

I've got a few cards to share with you today using some super cute and fun products so let's get started. Here's a look at all three of them.

I started by covering 3 pieces of white card stock that were cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" with embossing ink. Next I completely covered each one with the new Forever 13 Embossing Powders - one piece of Be Mine, one of Grape Crush and one of All That Jazz  and heat set them giving me 3 sheets of embossed goodness. I did one sheet of paper with all the embossing powders added to it which is what I cut the stars out of for the card below.

I die cut the rainbow out of each of the embossed panels giving me more than enough pieces to make 2 cards. The rainbow above is adhered directly to the panel. The rainbow below is also adhered directly to the panel but I also added some to the panel below. The stars on the clouds were made by laying the star stencil over top, adding embossing ink and then some embossing powder.
The Hey There sentiment above is cut from white card stock and then I pressed it into my ink pads to add some color. I used Grape Crush and All That Jazz.
The Happy Birthday sentiment below is stamped with embossing ink and then heat set with All That Jazz embossing powder.
I love how sparkly the rainbows are.

For this next card I used the center pieces that were left over from die cutting the rainbows. I tucked two under the panel directly to the card base and then added one to the panel. I stamped the sentiment and the roller skates with Midnight ink and colored them in using Be Mine, All That Jazz and Grape Crush inks with a blender pen. The parts of the roller blade that I colored I also added the coordinating embossing powder over top while the ink was wet and heat set it so as to add some sparkle. A few embossed stars and this card is done.

Are you ready to hop?
There is a ton of fun and inspiration to see but first leave me a comment for a chance to win one of the prizes I mentioned above.

HELLO FLUTTERS & BLOOMS

Today's the day (Noon EST) for StampNation peeps to order products from the Flutters & Blooms Collection. WOOHOO!!! This is just one of the many awesome perks of being a StampNation member. But that's not the only perk you get. Check this out! A free limited edition stamp set.
I love the sentiment on this one.
This is a while supplies last stamp set so hurry and grab yours while you can.

And while your there if you haven't already done so grab the FREE digital download - it's perfect for this time in our world. Catherine has been making a ton of cards with it - I've made a few but I'm waiting for my order of ink for my printer to arrive so I can make more.

My card today features the gorgeous butterfly from the Wings of Joy stamp set and the beautiful Flower Burst Cover Plate.

I started by embossing the butterfly using Turkish Nights for the wings and Metallic Gold Sparkle for the body. Using a water brush and some inks (listed below) I colored it in and then added a wash of blue to the background. After cutting it to line up with the edges of the panel below I sponged some Juniper Mist ink around the edges.
I used the Flower Burst Cover Plate to emboss with. To do this you need an embossing mat. You make your 'sandwich' in this way - cutting plate, die (facing up), card stock, embossing mat, cutting plate. This is what works for me and my machine - sometimes I need to add a piece of copy paper depending on the die.  I added the hello word die from the Ways to Say Hey die set and a few sequins from the Mission Sequin Mix to finish this card.

Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite product in this collection is. Mine are on this card. That butterfly and cover plate have my heart.

YOU MAKE ME HAPPY - FLUTTERS & BLOOMS

Today's card is similar to yesterday's card but different too. I used the same butterfly die from the Wings of Joy Dies but this time I did some ink smooshing. First I grabbed some watercolor paper and all the ink colors used in the Flutter's & Blooms Patterned Paper - Pink Champagne, Shea Butter, Seafoam, Spruce, Sangria and Royal Treatment. Here's a peek at the paper.

I pressed the ink pad onto a large stamping block, spritzed it with a little water and then smooshed the paper into the ink in a few spots. I used my heat tool to dry the paper and then moved on to the next ink color repeating the process until the paper was covered. When done I cut out a butterfly.

For the background I used the Flower Burst Cover Plate - this may be my favorite item in the release - but instead of using it as a die I embossed with it. To do this you need an embossing mat. You make your 'sandwich' in this way - cutting plate, die (facing up), card stock, embossing mat, cutting plate. This is what works for me and my machine - sometimes I need to add a piece of copy paper depending on the die.
I love the texture and detail it adds.

The sentiment was kept really simple so as not to compete with the butterfly and the background.

This Collection hits the shop on April 29th but if you're a StampNation member then you get to order early - on April 27th - how cool is that! Not a member? Don't worry - click HERE to check it out.

on April 27th. If you're not a member but would like to be click HERE to learn more about it.

This collection is full of butterflies and flowers and it's all beautiful and perfect for Spring. Cards made with products from this collection are sure to put a smile on the recipients face and with the world the way it is right now who couldn't use something to make them smile.

I've been playing with the Flutters Bundle and having a blast - the Wings of Joy stamps and dies has my heart!

The Flutter Bundle includes:
- Wings of Joy Stamp Set
- Wings of Joy Dies
- Beehive Background Stamp
- Painted Stripe Background Stamp
- Flutters & Blooms Patterned Paper
-Layered Blooms Dies
- Mission Sequins

My card features the Wings of Joy Dies, Flutters & Blooms Patterned Paper and the Wings of Joy Stamp Set.

I started by choosing 3 of the patterned papers, adhering them to some card stock and then using the butterfly from the Wings of Joy Dies I cut out a beautiful butterfly. You can change the look by changing the patterns or using only one pattern. This is such an easy way to make a big impact on your card.
I stamped the sentiment from the Wings of Joy Stamp Set using Sangria ink onto a white card panel. I used my scor pal to add some score lines around the edges to add some detail, added the patterned butterfly and then added the panel to a white card base with some craft foam.

Check out all the patterns in the Flutters & Blooms Patterned Paper pack. So pretty!

Don't forget to get your FREE download too. Click HERE to download yours.
These new products would be great to use with it.

Here's one of the cards I've made with it. You can see it here.

FOCUS ON THE GOOD

Some days you need to forget everything that's going on and just FOCUS ON THE GOOD. It can be hard at times but it's really important to do.

This card was easy and very satisfying to make. I started with the sentiment because I needed the reminder. I stamped it in Midnight ink and then used a fine black marker to fill it all in as I wanted it to be solid. I cut the panel using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die set. I use this set a LOT with my cards - definitely worth the money.

Next I stamped the baskets onto the panel and colored them in with Twilight and Sand Castle ink using a blender pen. The flowers were stamped on scrap card stock, colored with Tiki Torch, Limoncello, Lime Rickey and Melon Ice inks using a blender pen. I cut them out with the coordinating die, adhered two directly to the card panel and added the middle one with craft foam.
I added the panel to a white card base with some craft foam and now this card is going in the mail.

Have you had a chance to hop along the #spreadjoynotgerms hop yet? You have until April 24th to leave a comment for a chance to win one of the MANY amazing prizes. Click HERE to check it out.
