LET'S PARTY LIKE...

We're celebrating StampNation's 10th birthday. Technically it's not until January but the team at Catherine Pooler Designs likes to celebrate and celebrate we are with a fun Birthday Bundle of stamps and dies.

Ten years ago Catherine Pooler created a place for stampers to gather. This place is a world-wide community that called StampNation. Stampers, scrapbookers, crafters from all over the world gather here to share ideas in a fun, caring and friendly environment.

Talk about a quick card. This one came together in a matter of minutes. I inked up the new Dotted Bursts Background stamp set with Party Dress, Samba and Lime Rickey inks and stamped it directly onto the front of the card base. Some of the colors mixed together giving a green/brown look in some areas that I love. I liked it so much I decided to just add a sentiment and call this card done.

I stamped the large sentiment directly onto the stamped background but I used my MISTI as I didn't want to chance not getting a perfect image the first time. The rest of the sentiment is embossed in white on black card stock and popped up with some craft foam for a little dimension.

Check out the StampNation member price on this fun bundle!

The Birthday Bundle includes:

- Birthday Cake Remix Stamp Set

- Birthday Cake Remix Dies

- Party Like It's Stamp Set

- Dotted Bursts Background Stamp

StampNation Membership is as low as $8.25/month, so it's a bit of a No-Brainer to try it out! There is no commitment beyond the membership you purchase and you can cancel before your next billing cycle if you decide the site isn't for you.

HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY STAMPNATION!!

Ten years ago Catherine Pooler created a place for stampers to gather. This place is a world-wide community that called StampNation. Stampers, scrapbookers, crafters from all over the world gather here to share ideas in a fun, caring and friendly environment.
To celebrate this fun place and it's 10th Birthday Catherine Pooler Designs has a fun Birthday Release that hits the shop tomorrow but if you're a StampNation member then you get early access to purchase today!
Not a member yet? Click here to get all the details.

Now for my cards.
I'm sharing two today. One with a 'pile it all on' style and one 'clean & simple' style.
This first one is the 'pile it all on' style.

I made the background using the larger sentiment from the Let's Party Like It's stamp set by stamping it multiple times onto a piece of white card stock. Next I used the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die Set to cut the panel and then I ink blended Samba ink over the whole piece. I layered it onto a piece of black card stock slightly larger than the panel and then adhered that to a white card base. I had a little smudge so I used a fine tip black marker and a ruler to draw the lines around the panel and that smudge is now 'gone'.
I used the Birthday Cake Remix Dies and cut out the cake pieces using Black Tie Gala Paper. I added those to the panel with craft foam for dimension. I did some direct to paper with Samba ink and then heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and popped those up as well. I added the stars to the top of the cake instead of candles and then added a few around the cake and then stamped a few of the little images and added a few dots with with a marker around the panel.

This next card is very clean and simple.

I cut a panel using the medium sized stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die set then stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the Let's Party Like It's stamp set with Icing on the Cake ink leaving a space to stamp a little fun image. Next I stamped the candles from the Birthday Cake Remix Stamp Set using Tiki Torch, Limoncello, Melon Ice, Lime Rickey and Party Dress inks. I added a few more of the little fun image and then added the panel to a white card base with some craft foam.

COFFEE + CHRISTMAS

I remember when we were kids on Christmas morning the first thing my Mom would do would be to make coffee. We couldn't start opening gifts until the parents had a hot cup of coffee beside them. When I became a parent I completely understood the need. For me it's chai but it's definitely the same need.
I used some old sets from Verve Stamps for this one but there are so many coffee/tea sets available now that if you want to make this card I know you can find something to use.
I stamped everything with Icing on the Cake ink from Catherine Pooler Designs and then colored them in with Copic markers.
Because it's not a Christmas set I used a couple of small images from MFT's Santa's Elves to make this a Christmas card. You can do this with any stamp set you have - a great way to get more out of your stamps.
I used a white Posca Pen to add a little highlight to the snowflakes on the cups.

SPARKLE AND POP

I've decided to give out thank you cards to some of the local business' that have been so good to me. I think in these times it's important to let those people know that I appreciate all that they do.

I started by stamping all the fireworks with embossing ink and heat setting them with white embossing powder. Next I used Pink Champagne and Hot Tub inks and blended them over the fireworks.

I used the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die set to cut out a panel. I added it to a white card base with some craft foam.

Next I die cut the Deco Thanks Die out of black and white card stock and some black craft foam. I put the solid white piece on the card panel and then the outline card stock piece and the craft foam pieces together. Once they were dry I adhered them on top of the white piece.

All that was left to finish this card was to add a few of the Manhattan Sequins.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE...

... Cocktails

This card is one of my favorites. I love how clean and simple it is and the colors aren't traditional which along with the sentiment make for a fun Christmas card.
I started with a die cut panel, stamped the sentiment and the glasses in Midnight ink. I then stamped the drinks in the glasses with Pink Champagne and Melon Ice inks. Next I added the bit of holly and colored them in with copic markers and the shading is also a copic marker.
I added the panel to a white card base with some craft foam and this card was done.

WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND

I started with a stamp set from Catherine Pooler Designs Club Sursee. Click here to learn all about it.
This stamp set is from Oct 2019 and it's so cute and super fun to use on cards or scrapbook pages or even in your Canvo!

I started with a white piece of card stock that was cut to 4 1/2 x 3 1/4" and then did some ink blending for the sky. I used It's a Boy, Fiesta Blue, Something Borrowed, Skylight, Juniper Mist and Suede Shoes to make the sky. I blended them with the Life Changing Blending Brushes leaving it lighter in the middle and darker on the edges.

I used my heat tool to make sure the panel was dry and then I also used an embossing powder tool. Next I stamped the sentiment with WOW embossing ink and then heat set it with WOW white embossing powder. I stamped the snowflakes in the same way and then for the little dots I added a tiny drop of Bearly Glue and covered them with the embossing powder and heat set it but be careful not to leave the heat on it too long or it will bubble an burn.
I added the panel to a white card base with some craft foam for dimension.

This is one of my favorite cards that I've made this season. I think I'll make a few more since I still have a few more to send out.

LET'S GET BLITZENED!

I decided that some of my Christmas cards this year were going to be alcohol related. It's been that kind of a year.  the Wine Divas Stamp set from Art Impressions paired with the Sassy Pants Holiday Stamp Set from My Favorite Things is perfect for the wine drinkers on your list.

I started by stamping the image with my MISTI onto some white card stock with Catherine Pooler Midnight ink. I colored it in using my Prismacolor pencils and added a little shine to the wine with a clear sparkle pen.  I restamped the image with my MISTI to help the lines look crisp again.
I added the sentiment with Midnight ink and then decided it needed some holly. I used the one in the Santa's Elves Stamp set from My Favorite Things and then colored that in. I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle from Lawn Fawn.

I added the panel to a grey card base with some craft foam and then stamped the inside. The top sentiment is from the Sassy pants Stamp Set and the other one is from Hero Arts.

HAVE ANOTHER COCKTAIL

For someone who has never been a fan of pink I sure have taken a liking to it lately.  Especially the pinks in the Pop The Bubbly Slimline Paper - the patterns and the colors are so fun and refreshing.
I used the small square die from the Stitched Squares Dies to cut a couple of the fun patterns. I stamped two glasses with Midnight ink and filled them in with Pink Champagne ink. I added a little sparkle using a clear sparkle pen.

I did some direct-to-paper with Daydream ink onto white card stock. I made sure it was dry then used a powder tool before inking up the sentient from the Cocktail Party stamp set with WOW embossing ink and heat setting it with WOW white embossing powder. I distressed the edges a bit by dragging my fingernail along the edges.
I layered everything together then added a few of the Manhattan Sequins to finish it off.

CHEERS TO A BEAUTIFUL NEW YEAR!

I've had so much fun playing with the products from A Beautiful New Year. They're so fresh and fun and good for so many occasions.

I made this card for my daughters birthday.  I started by stamping the images and the small 'cheers' from the Cocktail Party Stamp set with Midnight ink onto some watercolor card stock.
I used Hot Tub, Daydream, Pink Champagne and Cranberry Fizz inks to do some ink-smooshing.  Once it was all dried I went in with a paint brush and some ink from the ink refills to darken up the inside of the glasses. I used a clear shimmer pen to add some sparkle to the drinks and then adhered it to a black card base.
I made this into a 5x7 card because I love how it turned out and I didn't want to cut it down. I added the Happy Birthday message to the inside but honestly this card could be used for any reason you want to celebrate.

A BEAUTIFUL FLORAL NEW YEAR!

I got some happy mail yesterday and couldn't wait to play with the goodies. I had a background in progress for another card that I was working on and set it aside to play with the Beautiful Day Floral Stamps & Dies.

I stamped the floral image onto some water color card stock with Midnight ink using my MISTI. I left the image in my MISTI so that when I finished coloring I could re stamp it and clean up the lines. After I colored it I cut it out with the coordinating die and also cut some craft foam with the die to add behind it.

Then I had to go out for a while and when I got home it was too late and I was too tired to finish it. When I came downstairs this morning to my craft room the floral piece was laying next to the panel for a different card and some black card stock and I loved how it looked so I put it all together. The background is stamped with the Happy New Year from the Re Sentiments set with Midnight ink and one is done in Cranberry Fizz. I stamped a few of the little images around and then blended some Cranberry Fizz around the edge.
I layered it all onto some white card stock and added a few of the gold sequins from the Manhattan Sequin Mix to finish it off.

TIME TO RESET!

Today's the day that all the new products for Catherine Pooler Designs A BEAUTIFUL NEW YEAR release will be in the shop. At 9am EST the 'doors' open and shopping can begin.

The Re Sentiments Stamp Set is the perfect one to start the New Year off with. With this past year I know a lot of people are wanting a Re-set and this set is the one you need to send cards to all those people. I think I'll be sending out a few of these this year.

I stamped the words onto a white card stock panel and then cut it with the stitched rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Dies. Next I stamped the fireworks and the stars with embossing ink and heat set it with WOW gold embossing powder.  I used the same embossing powder on black card stock for the sentiment.
To finish the card I layered the panel onto some black card stock then added it to a card base with craft foam.

This was a fun card to make and quick too. I'm thinking I might make it using some bright, fun colors.

***The links below for the Beautiful New Year products will go live in the shop at 9am EST today! Have fun shopping and I can't wait to see what you all make with your new goodies :)***

A BEAUTIFUL NEW YEAR WILL BE HERE SOON!

This has been a year to remember! I'm sure a lot of people can't wait for it to be over and to start fresh. The products in this release are just what you need to start the year off - they are so fresh and fun and a joy to play with.

The Beautiful New Year Collection will be in the shop at 9am EST on Wednesday, December 9th BUT if you're a StampNation member then you get to shop early - just one of the MANY perks of being a member - you get to shop today, Tuesday, December 8th at Noon EST. How cool is that!!!

I'm sharing two cards with you today. The one above uses the circles from the card I shared yesterday - you can see it here. I sponged some Pink Champagne ink around the edges and then added them directly to a panel of super cute and fun paper from the Pop The Bubbly Patterned Paper that I cut using the stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die. A simple sentiment from the Cocktail Party stamp set and a few of the sequins from the Manhattan Sequin Mix finish this card off. I added it to a card base with craft foam.

I made my own paper for this next card using a stamp that is meant to be stamped inside of the margarita glass. After I filled the paper I cut it with the stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Dies (in case you haven't figured it out yet, I absolutely LOVE that die set and use it ALL the time). I die cut the Deco Thanks Die out of some black card stock and used the inner portion of the die for this card. I also cut the same letters out of black craft foam and adhered them together before adding this to the card. It was a little finicky but I really like how it looks. I added a few of the Manhattan Sequins to finish this one off before adding it to a card base.

I have had so much fun playing with the products in this release. I'll be back again tomorrow with some more to share with you.

***The links below for the Beautiful New Year products will go live in the shop on Dec 9th except for you lucky StampNation members :)***
