Happy Saturday!! It's time for another Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge and this week the theme is water.
I used the It's a Ponderful Life and the Simple Sentiments Stamp Sets to make my cards. I had originally planned on one but had a leftover piece so I made a second card.
The theme this week is water so I chose to use some water and a few Catherine Pooler inks to make a panel of water. I used Oh Boy!, Something Borrowed, Suede Shoes and Dress Blue inks in that order. I smooshed the ink pad onto my craft mat, spritz a little water into it then took a piece of watercolor card stock and pressed it into the puddle of ink in a few spots. I dried it with my heat gun then repeated the process with each ink until I was done. I cut the panel with the large die in the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Die set and adhered it to a white card base with craft foam.
I stamped some of the images from the It's a Ponderful Life stamp set and colored them in with more Catherine Pooler inks and a blender pen. I used Wintergreen and Eucalyptus for the all the greens and Ginger for the cat-tails.
I adhered everything to the panel popping some of the images up with craft foam. The sentiment is embossed with white onto some black card stock and adhered directly to the card.
I ended up not using the lily pad on the card above so I made a second card. Instead of coloring water I found a scrap of paper in my stash that looked like waves so I adhered it to a piece of white card stock and cut it with the large die from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die Set and adhered it directly to a white card base.
The lily pad is colored with Wintergreen, Eucalyptus, Sweet Sixteen and Pixie Dust inks. I adhered it to the panel with some craft foam then embossed a quick sentiment and adhered that directly to the card.
