HAPPY EASTER!

I don't generally send out Easter cards but these cute critters from Catherine Pooler Designs Spring Into Easter Stamp Set are just too cute not to make some.
I used the Love Notes Background Stamp (sorry it's not available any more) to stamp the background for the bunny. I cut it out with the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die set and blended a little ink in the middle. I stamped, colored and cut out the cute critters and eggs with their coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment with Midnight ink then added the stamped images - a few directly to the panel and some with craft foam.

I used a blending brush to add Pucker Up ink to the card base then stamped the flower image repeatedly around the edge. I added a piece of black card stock then added the stamped panel with craft foam.

If Easter cards aren't your thing but you like the cute critters here are a couple other card ideas with links to directions.

IT'S TIME TO PARTY!!

Hi Everyone!!
I have two cards to share with you. I used thParty Time Stamp set with the coordinating dies from Colorado Craft Company for both of my cards today. It's designed to be a Christmas/New Year stamp but I wanted a birthday theme so I masked off the bit of holly that was on the jar of mixing tools and voila - no more holiday theme.

The prompt for Random Acts of Cardness today at Scrap'n Stamp is PARTY and if this card definitely makes me feel like I'm at a party.
I started with stamping the two images, then colored them in with some Prismacolor pencils. I cut them out with the coordinating dies then worked on the card base.
I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies - the large one from both the small and large set to cut the frame. I inked up the frame and the card base with some Distress Oxide inks then using the Birthday Bash Set from Wendy Vecchi I added some party decorations.
I added the mouse with the gift to the card base, then added the frame with some craft foam, then added the mouse with the drinks. On a card this busy the only way I could think to add the sentiment is to emboss it on black card stock and adhered to the frame.

My second card uses the same supplies but I went for a much cleaner and simpler card.

I stamped the image of the mouse with the present then cut off the bow because I wanted him to be dancing in front of a cake. I added a candle in place of the bow, colored it in with strawberry, chocolate and vanilla colors to make an ice cream cake.  After coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils I cut it out with the coordinating die and added it with craft foam to the panel that was left over from the frame I cut for the first card. I added a few stars then a simple sentiment and added it to a card base with some more craft foam.

Are you a 'pile it on' card maker or more of a CAS card maker?
Leave me a comment telling me what your go-to style is.

Be sure to check out this sale on Dies - It's on until March 28th or while supplies last.

SENDING YOU CHEER AND A SALE!

Today's card is made using border stamps. The Spring Borders Stamp Set is perfect for making a quick card and sending someone some cheer. I used 3 of the Date Night Inks - Catching Rays, Do-Si-Do and Pucker Up Inks - to stamp the borders (leaving a space for the sentiment) and to do some direct to paper.  I die cut the stamped image using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Dies.
I used the large postage die to cut three panels from the direct to paper panels then cut them with the Mod Strips Cover Plate Die then pieced them together to have one piece.
I stamped the sentiment with Midnight ink then layered that panel onto the panel that I pieced together then added that to a white card base.

Now for the sale info.

A CRITTER CREW BIRTHDAY

I made this card for my future son-in-law. He loves to camp and the Critter Crew Stamps and Dies from Catherine Pooler Designs paired with the digital tent from Angie Blom Digital Designs Camping Adventures Digital Set made for the perfect card for him.

I pulled out some paper from the Too Fly Patterned Paper Pack and the Lumberjack Patterned Paper Pack - they also paired together perfectly. I colored the digital tent and the Critters in with some Prismacolor Pencils and layered it onto the patterned paper.
I layered it all onto some white card stock, then some grey card stock and then again onto a white card base.
I finished it off with a sentiment and a few fireflies.

EEK! IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY & A GIVEAWAY

I recently got the It's a Mice Time To Celebrate Stamp Set from My Favorite Things and it has quickly become a favorite for birthday cards. There is a coordinating die for it but I haven't got that - yet lol. I decided to combine it with the My Favorite Things Basic Shapes Circle Stencil and make a festive birthday card.
How would you like a chance to win this stamp set and stencil? Leave me a comment here, and/or on the Scrap'n Stamp Blog telling me what your favorite decoration is for a party for a chance to win.
A winner will be chosen on March 31st - Good Luck!!
Every one on the team will be giving away a prize so be sure to check the Scrap'n Stamp blog regularly for more chances to win a prize.

I started by masking off the circles so I could ink up one at a time. I layered it onto some white card stock, inked it up with some embossing ink, removed the stencil then poured on some embossing powder and heat set it. I repeated this process a few more times with different circles and two embossing powders - (red & purple). Next I used two Distress Oxide inks - (orange and green) and repeated the process with the stencil and a couple of sponge daubers to add some more color.

I ran the panel through my die-cutting machine with a stitched rectangle die, added some craft foam to the back then added it to a white card base. I added the outer edge piece directly to the card base.

I stamped the image onto some white card stock, colored it in with some Prismacolor Pencils then cut it with a circle die cut. I adhered that to the panel cutting the edge, with a black circle piece tucked under it. I stamped the sentiment with embossing ink onto black card stock and heat set it with white embossing powder.

BEAUTIFUL DAY FLORAL

I made this card for a PenPal swap at StampNation. Once a month there's an inspiration picture posted to inspire us. Everyone who signs up is assigned a person and no one knows who has their name until they receive their card in the mail. It's a lot of fun.

I used the Beautiful Day Floral Stamp Set & the coordinating dies along with the Adore Die and the Thoughtful Phrases Stamp Set and a few Prismacolor Pencils to make this card.

I die cut the Adore Die from white card stock then layered it onto a piece of black card stock. Next I layered that onto another piece of white card stock then adhered that to a white card base.
The floral image from the Beautiful Day Floral Stamp Set is properly named - it's beautiful. I stamped it with Black Jack ink using the MISTI. I left the image in the MISTI so once I finished coloring it I could place it back in the MISTI to stamp it again to crisp up the lines that get blurred from coloring. I cut it out with the coordinating die then adhered it to the card.
There's a lot going on with this card so I kept the sentiment very simple.

Here is the list of Prismacolor Pencils I used:
Greens - PC908, 911, 988, 120
Pinks - PC929, 993, 1014
Reds - PC195, 925, 926, 937
Oranges - PC1032, 1033, 1034
Black - PC935

SPRINGTIME IS HERE, SENDING YOU CHEER

This card definitely has me thinking Spring. The Spring Borders Stamp Set from Catherine Pooler Designs is perfect for quick and easy card.

I chose some bright fun ink colors, grabbed a few sponge daubers and had some fun.

I used the sponge daubers to add ink to each individual image on the border stamp then stamped them on to a piece of white card stock that I cut with the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die Set leaving a space for the sentiment.
I stamped the sentiment which is from the Spring Borders Stamp Set using Midnight ink then layered pulled out some patterned paper to use with it. I decided it needed some black to balance the sentiment so I used a piece of black card stock that I cut on one edge and tore on the other so add some texture.
To finish the card the card I added a few enamel dots from the Simple Stories Little Princess Enamel Dots collection.

CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS SPRING GARDEN EASTER CARD

I don't tend to make and send Easter cards but this year might be an exception. First reason of course would be Covid and not being able to be with family and the second reason would be that the Catherine Pooler Designs new Spring into Easter Stamp set and coordinating dies is just so cute that I have to make some.

I remember getting a chocolate egg every Easter that had our names on them. I always thought that was so cool. When our girls were little we always hid eggs for them around the house to find and one chocolate bunny each. There was usually a book for them each year as well. I think I had just as much fun hiding them as they did looking for them.

This card is pretty simple to make. I die cut a panel from white card stock using the Postage Stamp Dies then stamped the images onto another piece of card stock. I did pull out my copics to color the bunny. I'm trying to use them more - they're an item that don't get a lot of love in my craft room and I'm trying to change that. I used a couple shades of browns, beige and pinks to color it in then cut it out with the coordinating die.
I used a blender pen to color in the eggs then cut them out with the coordinating die.
I stamped the sentiment with Midnight ink then with a blending brush and some Cummerbund ink I added a little color to the background. I adhered the images to the panel then adhered that to the card base.

Spring Garden Release Day!!

Today's the day!!!
All the products from Catherine Pooler Designs Spring Garden Release is in the shop at 9am EST.
Are you ready to shop and to make some super cute cards?

I've got a fun card for you today.
First I need to say sorry. I didn't realize when I made the card that the stencil I used on the background is no longer available but no worries there are so many awesome stencils that would work just as well.

I started with a panel of white card stock and using a CPD blending brush I ink blended on It's a Boy, Cummerbund, All That Jazz and Fiesta Blue inks. Next I added the stencil and repeated the same process. I used the large stitched rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Die set and cut a panel. I added it to a white card base with some craft foam.

Next up is that cute bunny from the Spring Into Easter Stamp set. Some simple coloring with Twilight and Black Jack ink, a little It's a Girl for the ears and the cheeks and then some fun with the glasses and the carrot. The glasses are from the Pet Specs Dies and are cut from black card stock. The carrot is from the Critter Crew Stamps & Dies.
The sentiment is from the Block Alphabet Dies. I inked up each letter in one color then using a blending brush I added the darker shade at the bottom.

Have fun shopping and I can't wait to see what everyone makes.

I'm linking this card to the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge

I've been playing with the Easter Bunny Bundle and having so much fun.

I colored them in with a blender pen and Chiffon, Catching Rays and In the Park ink.

Spring Garden Release From Catherine Pooler Designs Coming Soon!

Who's ready for Spring?

Catherine Pooler Designs new release will hit the shop on Wednesday March 10th at 9am EST unless you're a StampNation (SN) member. One of the many perks of being a SN member is early ordering so that means you get to order Tuesday March 9th at Noon EST.
Not a member? No worries, click here to learn more about it.

Lately I've been feeling the effects of Covid isolation and the colder weather but with this new release I've been feeling a little better. It's all geared around Spring and all that comes with the new season. Making the cards for this release has helped me feel better and I'm hoping they will help lift the spirits of the people I send them to as well.

My card for you today uses the Spring into Easter Stamps and the coordinating Dies from the Easter Bunny Bundle along with some other CPD goodies. ***Please note that the links to the new products will work when they go live in the shop.***

I started this card with the sky. I did use a cloud stencil but if you don't have one you could easily cut some clouds into a piece of copy paper and use that. I used It's a Boy ink and a CPD blending brush to add the clouds. For the grass I cut a couple pieces of card stock to look like they are small hills then blended on some In the Park and Grass Skirt inks. I adhered the grass to the sky then cut the panel using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Dies.

Next I stamped out the images, cut them with the coordinating dies and colored them in using a blender pen. I used Twilight and Black Jack for the bunny. I wanted a white bunny but you can't just leave it uncolored, you need to add some shading to make it look more real - make sense?
I added a little It's a Girl ink for the cheeks and inside of the ears and used a thin black felt to darken the eyes.
I colored the flowers in with Chiffon, Catching Rays and In the Park inks.

I decided to have some fun with the sentiment and used the Block Alphabet Dies to cut out Somebunny Loves You. I used the small heart from the Nested Stitched Hearts Dies for the o in loves. Thankfully it all fit on the panel. First I just inked the all up by pressing them into the ink pads then decided to blend on a darker shade on the bottom of each letter.
I adhered everything directly to the panel then added the panel to a white card base using craft foam.

***Please Note - I've linked to the new goodies below but they won't go live in the shop

until the times I mentioned above***
