HELLO SUNFLOWER

Hello KLM fans! Guess who's sponsoring us over at the Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Page? Yup. KLM Digital Designs is this weekends sponsor and is offering a nice discount for PPCF members. Not a member? No worries. Head over to the PPCF page and ask to join then have fun shopping.

I would LOVE to sip my morning chai out of these mugs. I love how they turned out.  The image is called Sunflower Coffee Cup and I used my Altenew Artist Markers to color them - I haven't played with these much lately but need to remember to use them as they're fun and easy to use.

I used Y204 Mango Smoothie, Y205 Warm Sunshine and Y612 Caramel Toffee for the flower petals. The center of the flowers are colored with R056 Dark Chocolate and Y823 Paper Bag. I used WG01 Morning Frost, WG03 Evening Gray and WG05 Moon Rock to color the mugs.

I cut the panel using the second largest die from the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die Set. I adhered some Tonic Studios Brown Kraft card stock to a white card base. I used two patterned papers from Catherine Pooler Designs, tearing the edge of one then adhering them to the card.
I stamped the sentiment from Stampedous Fran's Happy Messages Stamp Set with Catherine Pooler Designs Icing on the Cake ink then added the panel to the card with some craft foam.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan

SHAKE IT UP

The first thing you may notice on this card is that there's no sentiment. I haven't decided if it's going to be a Father's Day card or a birthday card but when I do I'll most likely add it to the top left portion of the frame.

I did first, second and third generation stamping with the trees using Spruce ink onto some white card stock. This is a GREAT way to stretch your ink colors. Next I added some sky using Oh Boy! and Suede Shoes inks using some blending brushes.
I used the mini MISTI to stamp the bear with Midnight ink so I could stamp it a few times to be sure to get a good, solid image.

I die cut the large frame from the Chalkboard Frames Die Set and blended on Sand Castle and Over Coffee inks. I adhered a piece of acetate to the inside of the frame then added adhesive foam strips to the back of the frame. I cut the panel of trees just a smidgeon smaller than the frame, sprinkled on some King Canyons Sequins then adhered the frame to the panel.

I finished the card by adding a piece of 4 x 5 1/4" patterned paper from the S'mores Paper Pack - I thought the paw prints worked perfectly with the bear - to a white card base then adhered the shaker piece to the card base.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan

CAN'T CHOOSE? USE THEM ALL!

I recently challenged myself to use more patterned paper on my cards. I tended to use them mostly on scrapbook pages and on craft projects like making my own mini albums but not on cards. I couldn't make up my mind which papers to use on this card so I used all the patterns in the Twilight Reading Paper Pack.

Grey is probably my favorite color so it comes as no surprise how much I love this pack. I cut strips of each paper and adhered them to a piece of card stock. I added a couple of torn pieces down one side - the grey one is patterned paper and the other one is from direct to paper with Apricot ink - then adhered it to a card base with craft foam.

I used one of the dies from the Ex Libris Die set and cut it from white card stock.  I did direct to paper with Twilight ink to the outer piece and Apricot to the inner piece then adhered them to the card. I stamped and cut the bird cage and because this card is so full of color and pattern I left it uncolored. I stamped, die cut and colored the bird using the same inks and a blender pen and popped it up on the card.

I've added a few sequins but decided not to add a sentiment. When I know the occasion that I'll use it for then I'll decide to either add it to the front or the inside.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care.
Susan

YOU SNAILED IT! FROM KLM DIGITAL DESIGN

I can honestly say that I've never called a snail cute before. But this digital image of Stanley the Snail from KLM Digital is so cute!

I printed him out on Mixed Media paper (I use a pack I got at Michaels) and colored him in with some Tombow Dual Brush Pens. (I'll list the colors below). I cut the panel using the second larges die in the Large Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I cut a piece of brown card stock from Tonic Studios to 5 x 3 3/4" and roughed up the edges with some scissors. I adhered it directly to a white card base then added the snail panel with some craft foam.
I printed the sentiment onto the same brown card stock and adhered it to the card.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care.

BE STRONG

This card reminds me of the days my hubby and I would camp using a tent and I would make him check to make sure there wasn't anything in our camp at night after I was sure I heard something. lol

The background is cut with the Cosmic Cover Plate Die and some ink blending with Oh Boy!, Limoncello, Drive-in and Dress Blues inks.

I covered the bottom of the panel with torn pieces of patterned paper from the S'mores Patterned Paper Pack. I cut the panel down a little so as to have a white border when adhered to the white card base.

I stamped the tent, racoon, flashlight, moon and stars from the Happy Camper Stamp Set and cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped the wolf from the Wild About You Stamp Set with midnight ink and cut it with the coordinating die.
After coloring the images with a blender pen and some CP inks I adhered them to the panel. The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Phrases stamp set, embossed with white embossing powder onto black card stock and adhered to the card with craft foam.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care.

ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS

Conie Fong is sponsoring us at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends facebook community. She has some of the cutest, most adorable images. She's offering a special discount for the PPCF members so if you're thinking about doing  little shopping then you'll want to join Passionate Paper Creations and Friends (if you aren't already a member) so you can grab that discount code.

I have two cards to share with you today. The image on this first one is called Flutterby Daisy and it is so sweet. I colored her with my Prismacolor Pencils and then fussy cut her out. I opted to put her on a slimline card base that I first added a panel cut with Folk Star Slimline Die from Catherine Pooler Designs. The stem of the flower is adhered directly to the panel and the rest of the image is popped up with some craft foam.

The sentiment is from Catherine Pooler Designs Thoughtful Phrases Stamp Set. I embossed it with WOW white embossing powder onto some black card stock and popped that up on the card with some craft foam. The little butterfly is popped up with craft foam as well. I added a few enamel dots from my stash around the card to finish it off.

My second card today uses the image Dragon Bouquet. I love how big the bouquet is compared to the dragon.

I used my Prismacolor pencils for this image as well. I cut the panel with the largest die in the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die Set - this is the same size as the front of a card which helps it to look like a one layer card.

After I adhered the panel to the card base I stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel to keep the illusion that this is a one layer card. The sentiment is from the Catherine Pooler Designs Mothers & Daughters Sentiments Stamp Set.

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care.
Susan

IN CASE YOU EVER FORGET

I don't tend to go for the sparkly and shiny cards but today I had the urge and I love it! I started with the Rose Stencil, some white card stock and 3 Catherine Pooler Design inks. I used a blending brush and added some Sparkling Berry ink in random spots over the stencil, then Sugared Lavender and then some Sangria ink. Before removing the stencil I added some Nuvo Golden Era Glimmer Paste in a few spots for some sparkle. After removing the stencil I set it aside to dry.

While the panel was drying I cut the Happy Birthday circle sentiment from white card stock and from craft foam. I did some direct to paper with Sangria ink then adhered it to the craft foam.
I die cut a circle from white card stock and ink blended on some Sparkling Berry and Sugared Lavender inks leaving it lighter in the middle. I stamped the sentiment from the Notable and Quotable Stamp Set with Midnight ink.

The greenery piece is from the Natural Flourishes set and was left over from a previous card making session. It is stamped with Midnight and colored in with Sage ink.
I used a blender pen to color in the rose from the Fresh Picked Floral Stamp set with the same 3 'pink' inks I used on the panel finishing it with a little of the Nuvo Glimmer Paste that I thinned out with some water.
I added everything to a white card base and then because I had a little bit of the thinned out glimmer paste left I splattered it onto the card.

I'm linking this up to the stencil challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.

Take care.
Susan
