THREE ROOM STUDIO SATURDAY CHALLENGE - CAS

Happy Saturday Everyone!! Welcome to another Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge. This week the prompt is Clean and Simple. I love making CAS cards and this one has a couple of my favorite things on it - tea and books.

I like big mugs with images on them so I put the books right onto the mug. I also drink homemade chai lattes so my cups always have some frothed flavored cream on them so I had to add it to this mug too.
The Let's Hygge Stamp Set and the One More Chapter Stamp Set were perfect for this challenge.

I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and cut the panel and one to layer it onto with Lawn Fawns Stitched Rectangular Dies. I added them to a card base with craft foam for some dimension.

For all the details on how to play along in this challenge and how to win a $15 Gift Certificate to the Three Room Studio shop please check the Three Room Studio Blog.

BLACK FRIDAY SALE AND THE ADORE DIE

Hi Everyone! I'm back with another card featuring products that are part of CPD's Black Friday Sale. The Adore Die and the Sweet Home Wreath Stamps and coordinating dies are 75% off and the Merry Christmas Angel Stamp Set is 30% off.

I die cut the Adore Die using kraft card stock, popped out all the pieces then adhered the frame to a piece of vellum. I inked up the Woodgrain Background Stamp with Sand Castle ink and pressed some of the pieces of the door into it. I used a sponge to blend the edges then adhered them back into their spot. I adhered strips of craft foam to the pack the adhered it to a card base.

I stamped out some of the greenery and berries from the Sweet Home Wreath Stamps and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered them to the card then using my MISTI I stamped the sentiment with WOW! Embossing ink. I stamped it a few times to be sure to have good coverage then I heat set it with white embossing powder.

I'm playing along with the Happy Little Stampers challenge

BLACK FRIDAY SALE AT CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

The Catherine Pooler Black Friday Sale starts today at noon EST!!

Hi Everyone! Who's ready for Black Friday? Did you hear that Catherine Pooler has products as much as 75% OFF? I used three products on my card today that are 75% OFF.
I used the A-maze-ing Mini Cover Plate Die, the Perfect Vines Die and the Enchanted Butterfly Die which are all 75% OFF
You can shop the Black Friday sale page HERE

I used the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Dies to cut a panel to adhere everything to. I cut the A-maze-ing Mini Cover Plate Die and adhered it to the panel. I inlaid a few of the pieces back in place for more texture. Next I die cut the Perfect Vine Dies from vellum and adhered them to the panel.

I used the Enchanted Butterfly Die to cut 3 butterflies. This is a small die and a great one to have in your stash. I adhered them to the panel then adhered the panel to my card base with craft foam.

I kept the sentiment really simple and embossed one using the Thoughtful Phrases Stamp Set and some WOW white embossing powder onto some scrap grey card stock. I popped it up with some craft foam and this card is finished.

HO HO HO DEER AND A SALE

Lately I've really been embracing using patterned paper and pairing the Decked Out Holiday Patterned Paper with the Nostalgic Season Stamps & Dies, Here We Come A Caroling Stamp Set, Holiday Charm Stamp Set and the Block Alphabet Dies makes this my favorite card I've made this season.
AND some of these items will be available at a discount during the Catherine Pooler Designs Black Friday Sale 11/24th - 11/29th.
I've linked to the items I used below but you can click HERE to check out the sale page.

I started with the deer. I stamped the outline with Over the Coffee ink then stamped the fill in portion with Sand Castle ink and cut it out with the coordinating die. Next I stamped him a hat from the Holiday Charm Stamp Set. The hat actually stamps the other direction so I did some mirror stamping so it would sit on his head the right way. I colored it in with Rockin' Red and Twilight inks using a blender pen.

I cut the two patterned papers using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die set and cut the red piece in half in order to stretch it out to fit behind the blue piece. I also used the same die to cut some white pieces for snow. I stamped and cut out some trees from the Here We Come A-Caroling Stamp Set using Sage ink
One of my favorite things about using the Block Alphabet Die Set is that I can make any sentiment I want. (They're great for personalizing a card by adding the recipients name). I die cut 12 H's and 12 O's and stacked them each 4 high and then adhered the card together.

A LEE HOLLAND DRAGON CHRISTMAS WITH PPCF

Lee Holland is a sponsor over at the Passionate Paper Creations & Friends Facebook page. This was my first time playing with a Lee Holland image and I had so much fun that it definitely won't be my last. He has so many cute images and you can check them out HERE

I'm playing with the Christmas Dragon on Holly Leaf image - isn't it the cutest!

I printed it out on some white card stock then colored it in using my Copic markers. I've listed all the colors below for you. I cut it out with the largest rectangle from the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Die set then added the sentiment from a Catherine Pooler set.
I layered it onto some black card stock then onto a piece of white card stock that I cut with the largest rectangle from the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die set. I used craft foam to adhere it but before I did that I added a strip of b&w striped paper from MFT.

Now I'm off to do a little shopping at the Lee Holland site - you can join me HERE to see all his adorable images.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS WITH TOMBOW AND CPD

I was recently gifted a set of Tombow Dual Brush Pens from Michelle at Tombow. Thank you so much Michelle - I absolutely LOVE them!! I was gifted the Primary set of pens which is a pack of ten pens nine of which are colors and one is a colorless blender pen.

Here is a look at the set.

I stamped out the car and gifts from the Wrapped and Ready Stamp Set using my MISTI onto some Canson Mix Media paper that I had in my stash. I remember hearing somewhere that these pens work best on smooth paper which is why I chose the Mix Media paper. If I'm wrong about that please leave me a comment below.

I started by adding some color directly from the pen along the edge of the car - one section at a time. I used a really small paint brush to add some water pulling the color into the rest of the image. I repeated this process until I was happy with the results. I colored the rest of the image the same way.

Once it was dry I put the image back in my MISTI and re stamped it making those black lines crisp again. I really love how it turned out. The color on the car is my new fave. I cut the image out using my scissors realizing after that I had the coordinating die (insert forehead slap here) but it was an easy one to cut out so that's okay.

I used the straight edge die from the Post This Slimline Die Set to cut a panel of patterned paper from the Grandma's Attic Patterned Paper pack and adhered that to the card base. I cut a piece of white card stock for snow then added the car using some craft foam. I stamped the sentiments and used the small stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die Set to cut the top sentiment. I had some scrap paper from the Pop the Bubbly Patterned Paper pack that I cut a couple of small banners to put behind the sentiment then added that to the card with more craft foam. I added some sequins to finish it off.

These pens were such a joy to create with. So much so that Tombow Dual Brush pens are the only thing I put on my wish list for Christmas.

THREE ROOM STUDIO CHALLENGE - SLIMLINE

Hi Everyone!! I'm taking part in the Saturday Challenge over at Three Room Studio and the theme is Slimline.

I used the Welcome Winter Stamp Set along with the Hello Friend Stamp Set and the coordinating die set to make this fun scene.

I started by stamping out the images with my MISTI. I did stamp multiples of the trees as I knew I was going to be creating a forest behind the animals. I colored the images with my Copics then placed them back in my MISTI to stamp them again. This makes all the black lines crisp. Next I fussy cut out all the images.

To make the scene I cut a panel of card stock to 3 1/4" x 8 1/4" then using some Distress Oxide inks and a blending brush I blended on some sky. I splattered on some water then dried it with a towel to get the appearance of snow falling in the distance.
I took two pieces of white card stock both 8 1/4" long and cut them to look like snowy hills. I added some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink around the edges of all three pieces then added the sky and one of the snow hills to the card base. I added the other snow hill with craft foam then adhered all the images to create the scene. I poked a little hole in the bears hand to feed some black twine through then wrapped it around the moose and then back behind the bear.
I added the sentiment and called this card done.

HELLO WINTER FROM JOY CLAIR AND PPCF

Joy Clair Designs has something special going on at PPCF! Can you say sale!
Not a member? Come Join! https://bit.ly/2VwG9iz

I made two cards today using the same image from Joy Clair Designs Snowy Greetings Digi Set but just cutting it down for my second card.
I used my Copics to color in the image but I didn't keep track of which markers I used - sorry. After coloring them all in I did some fussy cutting and added the trio of snowmen to a panel that I added some snow to using some texture paste and a CPD stencil. I added a couple of the snowflakes and snowballs along with the sentiment from the same digi set.

I decided to print out the image again but this time I only colored the center one. I used my Copics again then fussy cut it out. The arms are hard to see but they are there. The sentiment is from the same digi set. This is a great set because there are multiple images and sentiments and little extras too.

I stamped out a few of the trees from the Welcome Winter Stamp Set from Three Room Studio to add to the background. I layered it all on to a panel that I embossed using the Taylored Expressions Poinsettia Embossing Folder. It is such a pretty folder.

CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS FLASH SALE!!!!

Hi Everyone! Catherine Pooler Designs is having a FLASH SALE today and tomorrow (Nov. 17th & 18th) of 40% OFF these three products:

- Sweater Weather Background Stamp

- Flurries Slimline Die

- Merry Christmas Layered Word Die

These can be found over on the sale page.

I've got a card for you today using the Merry Christmas Layered Word Die. I only used the words on this card but I'm thinking now I could've cut the other piece from vellum to layer the words onto - it would've looked like a big soft cloud?

I used the colors from this inspiration pic for all the houses and trees...

...then added in some It's a Boy for the sky and Limoncello for the lights in the windows. Most of the front row of trees and houses are added with craft foam for dimension. I embossed the sentiment with Rose Gold embossing powder from WOW.

The panel is cut using the large rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Dies. I added 'snow' splattering white acrylic paint thinned with a little water over the whole panel then using a white Posca Paint Pen I added more snow to the buildings and trees.
I added the whole panel to the card base using craft foam.

Since my whole card is made with dies I'm linking it to the
