I'M IN A CREATIVE SLUMP - WHAT TO DO?

I have been in a bit of a slump lately. Well, actually it's been for a while now. I love to create cards and scrapbook pages but for a reason I don't know, I'm finding it hard. I have the desire to create and I mentally plan time to create but then I find other things to do. It's frustrating! I made this page in early January and have planned to write a post for it since I made it. I've grabbed my computer and sat down to write it and then I'm distracted by something else.
I'm not sure why I'm sharing this except maybe in hopes that if you've been through this or are going through this and have ideas that could help motivate me - I would LOVE to hear them. Thank you in advance :)

So enough about that - let's talk about this page. I made it for a challenge over at StampNation. You can learn all about StampNation HERE. It was a BINGO challenge which I love to do. The 5 items in the row that I picked were: Pink, Heat Emboss, Background Stamp, Watercolor, and Scrapbooking for the FREE Space.

I grabbed some watercolor card stock and some pink Catherine Pooler Designs inks - Cotton Candy and Do-Si-Do - and did some ink smooshing for the background. When that was dry I stamped on the One Fine Pine Background Stamp from CPD using Do-Si-Do ink. I had some paper in my stash I've had for years - sorry, no idea who made it - and knew I wanted to use it on this page because of the words family and all together. It feels like it's been since before COVID that we've all been together at Christmas. I tore it and added it to the bottom pulling the top edge back a bit.

I printed the pics on my Canon Selphy CP1300 Printer, cut them, them layered them onto white then black card stock. The journaling is on the back of the tags that are tucked in behind one of the photos.
I stamped CHRISTMAS using Cargo ink (CPD) on white card stock then quickly covered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it. I layered it on to some pink paper, adhered it to the page then outlined it with a black marker.

A few embellishments from Traci Reed and Heidi Swapp and this page is done.

I punched the holes on the side with my Zutter Bind it All.

Now to make more!

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
