Lately I've been feeling the effects of Covid isolation and the colder weather but with this new release I've been feeling a little better. It's all geared around Spring and all that comes with the new season. Making the cards for this release has helped me feel better and I'm hoping they will help lift the spirits of the people I send them to as well.

My card for you today uses the Spring into Easter Stamps and the coordinating Dies from the Easter Bunny Bundle along with some other CPD goodies. ***Please note that the links to the new products will work when they go live in the shop.***

I started this card with the sky. I did use a cloud stencil but if you don't have one you could easily cut some clouds into a piece of copy paper and use that. I used It's a Boy ink and a CPD blending brush to add the clouds. For the grass I cut a couple pieces of card stock to look like they are small hills then blended on some In the Park and Grass Skirt inks. I adhered the grass to the sky then cut the panel using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Dies.

Next I stamped out the images, cut them with the coordinating dies and colored them in using a blender pen. I used Twilight and Black Jack for the bunny. I wanted a white bunny but you can't just leave it uncolored, you need to add some shading to make it look more real - make sense?
I added a little It's a Girl ink for the cheeks and inside of the ears and used a thin black felt to darken the eyes.
I colored the flowers in with Chiffon, Catching Rays and In the Park inks.

I decided to have some fun with the sentiment and used the Block Alphabet Dies to cut out Somebunny Loves You. I used the small heart from the Nested Stitched Hearts Dies for the o in loves. Thankfully it all fit on the panel. First I just inked the all up by pressing them into the ink pads then decided to blend on a darker shade on the bottom of each letter.
I adhered everything directly to the panel then added the panel to a white card base using craft foam.
