A BEAUTIFUL FLORAL NEW YEAR!

 

I got some happy mail yesterday and couldn't wait to play with the goodies. I had a background in progress for another card that I was working on and set it aside to play with the Beautiful Day Floral Stamps & Dies.

I stamped the floral image onto some water color card stock with Midnight ink using my MISTI. I left the image in my MISTI so that when I finished coloring I could re stamp it and clean up the lines. After I colored it I cut it out with the coordinating die and also cut some craft foam with the die to add behind it. 

Then I had to go out for a while and when I got home it was too late and I was too tired to finish it. When I came downstairs this morning to my craft room the floral piece was laying next to the panel for a different card and some black card stock and I loved how it looked so I put it all together. The background is stamped with the Happy New Year from the Re Sentiments set with Midnight ink and one is done in Cranberry Fizz. I stamped a few of the little images around and then blended some Cranberry Fizz around the edge.

I layered it all onto some white card stock and added a few of the gold sequins from the Manhattan Sequin Mix to finish it off.
