The team at Scrap'n Stamp is celebrating the Life Changing Blender Brushes with a blog hop that you can check out HERE. If you decide to hop along be sure to leave comments at each stop because there's lots of prizes to be won.
There was a color challenge at StampNation this past weekend that I had some fun with. I pulled out some stencils, some distress oxide inks and my Life Changing Blender Brushes and had some fun.
I had no plans when I started these cards except to just play.
For this first card I used Seedless Preserves and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks and Mustard Seed Distress ink, the Swoop Stencil and some Life Changing Blender Brushes (LCBB). Once I blended on those colors I shifted the stencil ever so slightly and sponged on some Hero Arts Unicorn White ink. I love how it softened the overall look of the card and left a darker edge on one side. The sentiment is heat embossed with white onto a die cut pineapple and then covered with some sparkle from a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.
My next card uses the Pattern of Circles stencil and a variety of distress oxide inks that I've linked below for you. I used the smallest LCBB and filled in each circle and diamond shape randomly with color. Before removing the stencil I used a fine tip black marker and outlined everything. I love how this one turned out - super fun! I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then added a few stars to finish it off
I had so much fun making these cards that I want to pull out all my neglected stencils and show them some love.
Now if you're like me and haven't played with your stencils in a while go grab one and some ink and have some fun!
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
