Welcome to Day One of the Stamp of Approval Love is in The Air Collection Blog Hops.
Haven't heard of Stamp of Approval (SOA) yet?
Well let me tell you this is definitely something you're going to want to get in on.
SOA is a collection of hand-picked specially designed, brand new stamps, dies and
accessories that are created exclusively for Catherine Pooler.
This collection will be released on January 9th to those that are on the Wait List.
StampNation members will be notified first (one of the perks of being a member) and then
the rest of the Wait List will be notifiied. Previous collections have sold out quickly. They
won't be available again for quite some time so get your name on that list so you can
get your hands on all the amazing products.
There's a surprise ink color in this collection too!
I have two cards to share with you today.
My first card uses the World Awaits stamp set.
I used It's a Boy ink to stamp the background with the world map. Love that stamp! The
balloons are stamped in Mandarin Spice, Sauna, Daydream, Eucalytpus, Pepperming Scrub
and Royal Treatment inks. I used the coordinating die to cut them out and then stamped the
baskets with Black Jack ink. The sentimen is stamped with Midnight.
I love how the balloons turned out - they make me want to take off on an adventure!
My second card features the Bon Voyage stamp set, the Love die and the Postage Stamp dies.
I used the postage die to cut out the panel. I inked up the compass with veramark and stamped
it repeatedly onto the panel. Next I added some white embossing powder and heat set it.
I used Icing on the Cake and a little Black Jack ink to sponge over top for a distressed look.
When you're done sponging be sure to use a cloth to wipe away the ink that sits on top of
the embossed areas. This will clean it up and make the white white again.
The love die was added onto some craft foam and then onto the card for some dimension.
A tiny sentiment with sponged edges finished it off.
Make sure you're on the Wait List so you don't miss out.
Did I mention there's a prize!
There's actually three prizes!
One winner will be chosen at random from each day's comments and announced on
January 10th on Catherine's blog. The winners will win their box and if they already purchased
one then they will be issues a gift certificate worh $100 towards a future purchase.
How cool is that!
Time to get hopping! Don't forget to leave comments along the way.
Susan - you are here
Happy Stampin'
