Hi Friends! I'm back with another Christmas card this time using the Top Hat Robin stamp from Woodware. I paired it with the On The Block - Merry stamp from Taylored Expressions. I love, love, love these two stamps together. Actually I love pairing all kinds of cute critters with the Merry stamp.
I used my mini MISTI to stamp both the sentiment and the penguin. The MISTI is great for large sentiments because it is inevitable that I don't get solid coverage first time - it's me, I'm the problem, it's me (lol - tik tok users will get that) but seriously, I always need to stamp it more than once.
I used a Tombow Blender pen and some Catherine Pooler Design inks to color in the penguin then added the panel back into the MISTI and restamped the image. This is another favorite reason of mine to use the MISTI. It crisps up all the lines after coloring.
I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die then added a few stars and colored them in with some Catherine Pooler ink.
I embossed the small sentiment and popped it up on the panel then added the panel to a white card base with craft foam for dimension.
I just realized now that I made the penguin and the hat the same color - oops. I'll go back and darken up the hat before I add this card to my stash to be sent out at Christmas.
