CROC AND MOUSE GO SURFING

The croc and mouse from the Surf's Up Digital Stamp Set from Jane's Doodles are celebrating a birthday by doing some surfing. I printed the image on a piece of mixed media paper and colored it with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. The colors I used are linked at the bottom of this post.

I'll be honest. I struggled with this image and ended up coloring it twice. The first time I had colors bleeding into each other and made a mess. I blame my allergies lol. This past week has been bad. Add to that I got two bug bites on one eye and it puffed up so much it closed shut. When the swelling came down and I was able to see out of two eyes I printed the image again, made a cup of tea, started an audio book and colored. Tea, a book and coloring is my idea of self-care.

When I was done coloring I cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die and tore off one side. I blended some Broken China Oxide ink around the edges. I cut another panel using the stitched rectangle die then added Broken China Oxide ink for the sky and Vintage Photo Oxide ink for the sand then adhered it directly onto a card base on an angle. I added some craft foam to the croc and mouse panel then added it to the card.

I printed the sentiment onto white card stock, layered it on to kraft card stock then added that to the card. I used a white POSCA Paint Pen to add some highlights and a gray Tombow marker to add some shading.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
