OUT OF THIS WORLD

I love blending ink to make a night sky so when the Night Sky Challenge was posted at StampNation this week I knew I'd be playing along. It did take me a few days to get into my craft room to create but once I did I had so much fun!
The first thing I want to point out about this card is that it's not as it looks. By that I mean the outer edge of the card is actually a frame popped up framing the night sky but in the pictures it appears (to me anyway) that the night sky piece is popped up.

I used Wild Honey, Abandoned Coral, Twisted Citron, Villainous Potion, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks with a blending tool to make the night sky. The white splatter or stars as I like to call them were made by splattering on some white acrylic paint and heat embossing a few stars. To make the frame I used the large die from CPD's Stitched Square Dies Set and cut a section from the panel then colored the frame using Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Oxide Inks.

Everything else is from the Lawn Fawn Stamps and Die Sets called Out of This World. The images are colored with Prismacolor pencils and the sentiment is embossed in white on black cardstock.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
