Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent yesterday prepping onions for LOTS of french onion soup which is my favorite - cutting all the onions is not my favorite thing though lol. But now I have a bunch in my freezer ready for when I get the craving :)
My post today features the HAPPY CAMPER stamp set from Joy Clair Designs. Camping is my favorite way to see places. Hotels are nice but camping is so much better and luckily for me my hubby agrees.
I stamped out all the images and colored them with my Prismacolor Pencils - I'll list the colors below for you - then went over the lines with a fine black sharpie and fussy cut them all out. I did the sentiments this way too because I wanted them to look like embellishments rather than stamped right on the page - does that make sense? I used a sun stencil from Catherine Pooler Designs and some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink to add a pop of color at the top
I originally was going to use a bunch of patterned paper but in the end decided it was too busy so I cut some with a circle punch and just added little bits of paper. My personal opinion is that because I have quite a few pictures on this layout it's busy enough and adding lots of patterned paper would take away from the pictures and make it hard to look at. The paper I used was from a pile of unknowns - a stack that I'm working my way through and don't know who the designers are.
The title is made using the block Alphabet Dies From Catherine Pooler Designs and some black card stock.
I didn't forget to add the journaling, I chose to keep that private and add it after I took the pics.
I printed the images on my Canon Ivy Photo Printer and used a Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters Insert Book for my pages. I have a bunch of them that I need to fill them up and I've got ideas for all of them.
If anyone has any tips on how to take good pics of something that has pics in it I would love to know them - thanks.
