HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!!

This little cutie from Polkadoodles is called Skateboard - Little Dudes Digi Stamp and I loved coloring him. I printed him onto some mix media paper and pulled out my Prismacolor watercolor pencils which I haven't used in years and had some fun. I struggled with them at first but after a bit they felt good again. Kind of like riding a bike - or a skateboard if that's your thing lol.

I used a Tombow marker and a water brush to add the sky then a pencil crayon for the ground. I liked how it looked but I didn't love it - it seemed flat to me. I grabbed some Prismacolor pencil crayons to add some depth and discovered that adding the pencil crayons over the water color pencils along with the texture of the mix media paper added a lot of texture.

I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the panel down then cut some letters from black card stock using Catherine Pooler Designs Block Alphabet Dies - (love those) - to spell out DUDE. The rest of the sentiment is from the Little Something Sentiments Stamp Set which is also from Catherine Pooler and stamped with black ink. I used my mini MISTI to stamp the sentiment 3x to get a good solid image.

I layered the panel onto some black card stock leaving a thin border around the edge then added it to a white card base with craft foam for a little dimension and that finishes this card.
I love how this one turned out and have a sudden desire to do more cards with cute images of kids.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan

I have enjoyed viewing your card, Susan. Adding depth has created a very cheerful card. TFS
