Welcome to Day 3 of 4 blog hops. Today we're showcasing the Eat, Sleep, Create stamp set and the Doodle Garden Background stamp from Catherine Pooler's Zen Garden Release. You should have arrived from Melissa's page but if not I do have all the links posted below for you.
To begin I stamped the Doodle Garden Background stamp on the card panel and then using Rose Petals, Mandarin Spice, Sauna and Green Tea inks I stamped on the swatch of color using a stamp from the Eat, Sleep, Create set. The create die is an add on to the collection and a must have in my books. I die cut it from black and white cardstock and added it to some craft foam for dimension - you can see a little bit of the white peeking out to give a shadow. The Every Day is from the Eat, Sleep, Create set.
I made a one layer card for my second card using masking paper to make a circle, adding it to the card and stamping the Doodle Garden Background stamp with midnight ink. I love that moment when you remove the masking paper and you see what you made - even on a design as simple as this one. The sentiment is from Eat, Sleep, Create and stamped with midnight ink. Lastly I made some tea, grabbed my Prismacolor pencil crayons and colored in some of the images.
For my last card I punched a circle out of white cardstock and stamped the Doodle Garden Background stamp onto it with midnight ink. I traced that circle onto the card base very lightly with pencil. Next I used a paint splotch stamp from the Eat, Sleep, Create set and stamped it a rainbow of colors - Rockin' Red, Orange Twist, Tiara, Grass Skirt, Aquatini, Pixie Dust and Flirty Fuschia. I used fun foam to add the stamped circle and the create sentiment. The words are all from the Eat, Sleep, Create set. I love this set - it has a great collection of individual words in a variety of fun fonts which allows you to build your own sentiments.
Next on the hop is Karen Baker but in case you missed any stops along the way, I've linked to all of them for you below.
