PLAYING IN THE PUDDLES

Hi Friends! Happy Friday!!
My card today is for a StampNation challenge and the theme is UMBRELLA. You no doubt have heard me mention StampNation countless times and some of you are members but if you haven't heard about it let me give you a little info. It's an online group of crafters from all over the world sharing their love of crafting. There are tutorials, challenges, zoom crafting sessions and so much more. Check it out HERE.

I've had the Girl with Umbrella digital image from Lee Holland for quite some time now but played with it for the first time on this card. I added all the circles to the umbrella because it reminded me of an umbrella my girls had when they were little. Not sure why I remember that but I do. I printed it on Mixed Media paper and colored it with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die then decided to use Oxide inks to blend on the sky. I LOVE the sentiment from CPD's Puddle Play Stamp Set and used my Mini MISTI to stamp that on the bottom of the panel. I layered the panel onto a piece of black card stock then adhered it to a white card base with craft foam.

Now, to be honest with you I did not like how this card was turning out when I was working on it and thought about throwing it out. If that happens to you do what I did - take a break and come back to it later. I did that and worked on it some more and then I liked it.
Sometimes all you need is to take a break - I use that strategy in all parts of my life and 9 times out of 10 it works.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
