Hi Friends! I'm back with a shaker card today using all new goodies from Catherine Pooler Designs. The newest collection is called CHEERS TO NEW YEARS and it's available now. I'm playing with products from the THANK YOU KINDLY BUNDLE and the CHEERS EXTRAS BUNDLE.
I started with some of the beautiful BEE THANKFUL patterned paper. I cut the purple layer to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" and adhered that to the card base. Using the two largest ruffle dies from the RUFFLES & DASHES DIES I cut a frame from white cardstock. I added some acetate to the back of the frame then added a double layer of craft foam around the edge. I poured in some SAINT LUCIA SEQUINS and then added a piece of polka dot paper from the Bee Thankful paper pack and adhered it to the card base.
The floral image is from the CORNER SWAG FLORAL STAMP SET. I stamped it on some mixed media paper with WOW embossing ink then heat set it with white embossing powder. I colored the image in with some beautiful CP inks, a little water and a small paint brush. One of my favorite things to do with CP ink is watercolor. I cut the image with the coordinating die then adhered it to the card.
I realized that I forgot about the sentiment and didn't want to take a chance on not lining the stamp up properly, so I took out the pad in my mini MISTI and placed the card inside. I positioned the stamp on the frame then using the MISTI I stamped the sentiment using Glam ink. It worked perfectly! That MISTI has saved my cards more times than I can count.
