KEEPING IT CLASSY

I remember when cupcakes were popular for children's birthday parties. I set up a cupcake decorating station for a party I threw for my daughter when she was about 5. It had all kinds of bright colored icings and lots of different toppings to choose from. The challenge for some of the kids was to see how many toppings they could pile on and they had a blast.
Then not too long ago, cupcakes became popular for adults. I've seen all kinds of classy cupcake towers and that's what inspired this cupacke.

I used the Wonky Stripe Background Stamp and Terracotta ink to make the background panel. I adhered that to the card base then cut two panels of white card stock using two of the stitched rectangle dies in the Postage Stamp Die set and adhered them to the card base.

The sentiment is from Every Occasion Sentiments Stamp Set and stamped with Macchiato ink.
I couldn't find the Macchiato embossing powder when I made this card, so I used Weathered Gold for the cupcake liner which matched quite nicely. I need to organize my embossing powders. I've linked to both powders below for you.
I stamped the icing with Buttercream ink then cut both the liner and the icing with their coordinating dies and also cut some craft foam to layer the images onto.
I stamped a variety of flowers and leaves from the Wings of Joy Stamp Set, cut them with the coordinating dies and adhered them all to the card using liquid glue.

I love how this card tuned out.
Now to go organize my embossing powders lol.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
