STAY COOL!!

This cute little penguin from Your Next Stamp has the right idea. The stamp is called Mini Snorkel Fun Penguin and you can find it here. The coordinating die can be found here. While it's a mini stamp with a price of only $4 US, the fun I had playing with it was big!
I cut a panel of white card stock using a stitched rectangle die and adhered that to a card base with craft foam. I stamped the image, colored in the floatie, cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card. The sentiment is stamped onto the panel and that's it for this card.

For my second card I decided to fill a pool with floating penguins. I stamped the penguin randomly onto a piece of white card stock that was 4 x 5 1/4".

I colored in all the floaties then filled in the background with blue to create the pool of water. Next I cut the panel down with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it directly to a white card base. The sentiment is the same as the first card but this time I embossed it in white onto black card stock and popped it up on the card.

I used to shy away from the small stamps thinking to myself that there isn't much I can do with them. Well I was wrong!! I've got a bunch of these mini stamps now and I LOVE them!!

I made this card a while ago and took notes of the colors I used but I changed my system recently on how I keep my notes and well, I lost the notes for these two cards. My suggestion, as always is to choose colors that you like then you won't go wrong.

Thanks for sharing part of your day with me :)

Take care,
Susan
