HOPE YOUR DAY IS HAPPY

It's a month of weekly challenges over at StampNation this month. These cards are for a number challenge where the numbers 0-9 are assigned a color or a shape or something you must use on a birthday card. My birthday was the 5th so I used the numbers 0 and 5 which meant I had to use the color red and I had to color my image.

I was only going to make one card but after I die cut the Circle Squared Slimline Die from black card stock to adhere to the white card base (above) I decided to cut it from white as well and inlay the leftover black pieces from the first card into the white die cut panel (below).

I used the Fresh Picked Floral Stamp Set for the flowers and greenery for both cards and I stamped a LOT of them. I had enough for these two cards and some leftover pieces for a future project. I stamped them with Midnight ink onto water color card stock and quickly added clear embossing powder.
I listed all the ink colors I used below. I squished the ink pad onto my glass mat, spritz it with a little water and used a water brush to add the ink to the images. When they were all dry I cut them out with their coordinating dies.

These cards are a bit busy so I decided to make the area for the sentiments big to help give your eye something to focus on and lessen how busy the cards feel. (In my head this makes sense - I hope it makes sense to you too).
I put the sentiments in place popping the happy birthday one up with craft foam then adhered all the floral and greenery around them. Some are adhered directly to the card and some are popped up.

hanks for sharing part of your day with me :)

Take care,
Susan
