CIRCLE OF LOVE

One of my favorite things to do with dies is not die cutting - it's embossing. I used the Double Duty Circle Dies to emboss a panel of white card stock. I taped the dies together and ran it through my die cutting machine with an embossing pad. This pad allows the dies to make an impression into the card stock without cutting all the way through.

I cut the outer edge with my scissors then did direct to paper with Whipped Honey Ink. I used Shea Butter to go around the outer edges. I love doing direct to paper over dies - it makes the details of the die just pop!

I used Serene, Lilac and Crushed Violet inks on the card base. I swiped each one across the card base going for an imperfect look then added the circle with craft foam. I took the Lots of Love sentiment from the Because Trees Stamp set and curved it onto a block so it fit against the circle then stamped it all the way around using Icing on the Cake ink. It didn't fit perfectly around the whole circle so that's where I put the trees that I stamped with Icing on the Cake ink and cut out with their coordinating dies. A few sequins from the Hallerbos Sequin Mix finish this card.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
