APOTHECARY INKS FROM CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

I sat down at my table to write some blog posts and had an idea for a card so of course I made the card. I wanted to use all 8 Apothecary Inks on a card and I had such fun using the small square block as a stamp the other day I decided to use the small rectangle block on a slimline card.

Starting from the bottom of the panel I 'stamped' with Lilac then Crushed Violet, Wintergreen, Matcha, Whipped Honey, Ginger and Apricot. I had originally thought all 8 colors would fit but I didn't do the math right so I used the Terracotta ink to stamp the leaves from the Notable & Quotable Sentiments Stamp Set.

First I stamped all 4 sentiments from the Because Trees Stamp Set onto the panel with Terracotta ink but I didn't like how it looked so I did some direct to paper with Terracotta then embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder and covered up what I had originally stamped.
I went to add it to a slimline card base but thought it needed a little something so I layered it onto a piece of card stock cut with the postage stamp die from the Post This Slimline Die.

Thanks so much for spending a part of your day with me.

Take care,
Susan
