I'm not a fan of cake but if a gnome offered to bake me one - I'd eat it lol. The Chef Gnome Cake Digital Image from KLM Digital Designs was fun to play with and I do love that sentiment even if I don't love cake. I know people that love cake so I'll be sending this to one of them.
I printed the image onto some Canson Mixed Media Paper and set about coloring the image with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I really, really, really love these pens. They are so easy to use, take up very little space and are easy to take with me when I go camping. It's a win, win, win lol.
I used the following markers to color the image:
cake: 991, 993, 062
icing: 992, 879
hat, beard, cake plate, boots and the ground N45, N75, N65, N60
pants: 407
jacket: 158
Background: 992
When I was done coloring the image I put it back through my printer to add the sentiment. Then I colored the background and the and the ground.
I remembered having patterned paper that had oven mitts and whisks on it so I found that and added a strip down the side distressing the edge next to the chef.
I ran it through my die cutting machine using the large stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn then cut a couple of tags to add to the top. I stapled them together and added them with craft foam for a little bit of dimension then adhered the panel to a card base.
Take care,
Susan
