THE HANDYMAN

I've been wanting to scrapbook pics from our home renovations and when I saw the Handyman Gnome digital image from KLM Digital Designs I knew I needed it. 

I printed the image out on some white card stock and colored it in using my Prismacolor pencils. I'll list them all below. I fussy cut him out then remembered that I had some digital images from Studio Calico called Home Improvement that would work great with this theme. I printed the tools, colored them in and fussy cut them out. I tried to color them the same color as the ones my husband has. After cutting all the images out I went around all the edges with a Tombow N15 (Black) marker. This finishes the edges off to hide any imperfections in my cutting.

I printed the images that I wanted to use from my phone to my Canon Ivy mini printer. LOVE this thing. It only prints small pics but I'm okay with that - I like the smaller pics and pages of a travelers notebook - it's much less intimidating to me than a 12x12 album and is allowing me to get back into scrapbooking with out the pressure that I would put on myself when doing larger pages. 

I figured out where I wanted to place my pics and adhered them to the page. Instead of layering them onto black card stock I outlined them with a thin black felt pen then on the right and bottom side of the pic I added shadow lines using a Tombow N55 Dual Brush Pen. This gives the look of layers without adding bulk to my pages.

Next I stamped the title using an Alpha set I've had in my stash for years. I believe it's a Recollections Brand that I purchased at Michaels. I adhered the images then added my journaling.

I need to keep better records of what colors I used where - I'll try to do that for future coloring but for now here is the overall list.
