I don't tend to go for the sparkly and shiny cards but today I had the urge and I love it! I started with the Rose Stencil, some white card stock and 3 Catherine Pooler Design inks. I used a blending brush and added some Sparkling Berry ink in random spots over the stencil, then Sugared Lavender and then some Sangria ink. Before removing the stencil I added some Nuvo Golden Era Glimmer Paste in a few spots for some sparkle. After removing the stencil I set it aside to dry.
While the panel was drying I cut the Happy Birthday circle sentiment from white card stock and from craft foam. I did some direct to paper with Sangria ink then adhered it to the craft foam.
I die cut a circle from white card stock and ink blended on some Sparkling Berry and Sugared Lavender inks leaving it lighter in the middle. I stamped the sentiment from the Notable and Quotable Stamp Set with Midnight ink.
The greenery piece is from the Natural Flourishes set and was left over from a previous card making session. It is stamped with Midnight and colored in with Sage ink.
I used a blender pen to color in the rose from the Fresh Picked Floral Stamp set with the same 3 'pink' inks I used on the panel finishing it with a little of the Nuvo Glimmer Paste that I thinned out with some water.
I added everything to a white card base and then because I had a little bit of the thinned out glimmer paste left I splattered it onto the card.
I'm linking this up to the stencil challenge at Happy Little Stampers
Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me.
Take care.
