STAND UP FRIENDS FROM SWEET SENTIMENT STAMPS

I used the Stand Up Friend Stamp Set for my card today. Those meerkats are sooooo cute I couldn't wait to color the two that are cuddling. I colored them in with my Prismacolor Pencils then fussy cut them out. 

I cut a panel of white card stock using the second largest die from the Lawn Fawn Large 4 Bar Stitched Rectangle Dies and layered it onto a piece of Black Licorice card stock from MFT.

I used a blending brush and some Flame ink from Catherine Pooler Designs to blend on a  background for the otters then adhered them to the panel. I used grey and black pencil crayons to add some shading to ground the meerkats and then decided they needed some googly eyes. 

I added some patterned paper to the card base - the striped piece is from the MFT Black & White Stripes Pack and the colorful piece is from the Across the Globe Pack from Catherine Pooler Designs. I adhered the otter panel directly to the card base then adhered the sentiment.

Those meerkats with googly eyes - I keep looking at them and they keep making me smile.
