SENDING LOVE WITH CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

Hi Everyone!

My card for you today uses one of my all time favorite techniques. Ink Smooshing. I love how easy it is, how it's different every time I do it even when using the same colors and most of all that it looks like it took a lot of effort but it's super quick and easy.

I like to work with a 8 1/2 X 11" piece of water color card stock. Doing this gets me more than one card from one technique piece. I used a spray bottle and some re-inkers - you can use ink pads for this technique but using the re-inkers gives a more intense color. I used Seafoam, Sea Glass and Bay Breeze. I sprayed the paper with water then added some drops of ink, moving them around and adding more ink until it was all covered. I dried it with my heat tool then added a little more water and ink until I was happy with how the it looked.

I cut a piece using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die Set then embossed the flourish image with Rose Gold Embossing powder, added some Red Gold Kuretake paint splatters and adhered it to a piece of black card stock. I added a simple embossed sentiment from the same stamp set and adhered the panel directly to the card base.

I'm playing along with the following challenge:

Tic Tac Toe #149

(Green, Friendship Sentiment and Flower)

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

I love your paint spatters...that look like a work of art! What an eye-catching card! The embossed flowers are so great against the greens! Thank you for joining us at Tic Tac Toe this week!
