The hardest thing about retirement is remembering what day of the week it is. I thought there was still a couple of days left in January but I woke up this morning to February.
I've had this card in my head for a few days but quickly (sort of) put it together this morning.
I started by embossing a piece of white card stock with WOW Rose Gold Embossing Powder then cut out the Paper Lantern and the letters for Happy New Year. I also cut them out of plain white card stock. I layered them together offsetting them a little then added craft foam to the lantern for more dimension.
I embossed the sentiment with WOW Super Fine White Embossing Powder on a piece of scrap black card stock
I used a couple of blending brushes and added Pink Champagne, Rose Petals, Rouge, Peppermint Scrub and Merlot inks to a piece of white card stock blending darker around the edges. I added a few splatters of water then adhered everything to the card base.
