HEY THERE

I made this card for a Penpal card swap at StampNation. Haven't heard of StampNation before? It's one of the most fun stamping communities on the internet -click HERE to learn all about it.

There was a beautiful group of pics for inspiration for this months swap. I was inspired by the snowy background in one of the pics and by the colors.

I ink blended the sky using Tranquil and Stone Blue inks going heavy around the edge. I tore some white card stock to make the snowy hills and adhered one directly to the sky panel and the other with some craft foam.
The trees are from one of my all time favorite stamp sets - Fun Forest - and there are coordinating dies. I stamped the trees with Rose Petals and Cranberry Fizz inks then stamped the branches and trunks with Merlot ink. Who says trees have to be green? I cut them out with the coordinating dies then adhered them to the card popping two of them up with craft foam.
The sentiment is from the Ways to Say Hey Dies. I cut it out from white card stock then swiped the Stone Blue ink pad across it.

I mixed a little bit of white acrylic paint with some water then splattered it all over the sky and trees for some falling snow.

 Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
