My card today uses the Parasols & Pagodas Patterned Paper and the Lantern Festival Stamps & Coordinating Dies.
I started by stamping the lanterns. I used two ink colors and a blending brush to soften the edges where the colors meet. I had originally stamped the flowers on the lanterns with Flame ink then decided to go over them with Juniper Mist ink. I didn't get them lined up as well as I would've liked but I actually like the bit of red ink poking out of the edge. I stamped the rest of the lantern pieces and cut them all out with the coordinating dies.
I die cut the Sprinkles Mini Cover Plate Die and popped it up on another piece of white card stock. I adhered the lanterns together and added it to the panel. Next I embossed a sentiment and added that to the panel.
My plan was to adhere it all to a white card base but then I suddenly had the urge to add a lot of pattern.
I grabbed the Parasols &n Pagodas Patterned Paper, chose two patterns tearing the edge of the one on the left. I layered that on top of the pattern on the right then adhered it all to the card base.
