HAPPY HOLIDAYS WITH TOMBOW AND CPD

I was recently gifted a set of Tombow Dual Brush Pens from Michelle at Tombow. Thank you so much Michelle - I absolutely LOVE them!! I was gifted the Primary set of pens which is a pack of ten pens nine of which are colors and one is a colorless blender pen.

Here is a look at the set.

I stamped out the car and gifts from the Wrapped and Ready Stamp Set using my MISTI onto some Canson Mix Media paper that I had in my stash. I remember hearing somewhere that these pens work best on smooth paper which is why I chose the Mix Media paper. If I'm wrong about that please leave me a comment below.

I started by adding some color directly from the pen along the edge of the car - one section at a time. I used a really small paint brush to add some water pulling the color into the rest of the image. I repeated this process until I was happy with the results. I colored the rest of the image the same way.

Once it was dry I put the image back in my MISTI and re stamped it making those black lines crisp again. I really love how it turned out. The color on the car is my new fave. I cut the image out using my scissors realizing after that I had the coordinating die (insert forehead slap here) but it was an easy one to cut out so that's okay.

I used the straight edge die from the Post This Slimline Die Set to cut a panel of patterned paper from the Grandma's Attic Patterned Paper pack and adhered that to the card base. I cut a piece of white card stock for snow then added the car using some craft foam. I stamped the sentiments and used the small stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Die Set to cut the top sentiment. I had some scrap paper from the Pop the Bubbly Patterned Paper pack that I cut a couple of small banners to put behind the sentiment then added that to the card with more craft foam. I added some sequins to finish it off.

These pens were such a joy to create with. So much so that Tombow Dual Brush pens are the only thing I put on my wish list for Christmas.

Happy Stampin'

and thanks so much for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
