I've been having a lot of fun with the Wiser Bundle that just hit the shop yesterday. I used this color combo on yesterday's card and loved it so much I used it on today's card too. I was inspired by something Erika Post said in yesterday's live with Catherine about making a card with a white embossed owl and some ink blending - so I made one.
Pictured below are the 4 bundles that make up the Winter Wonders Collection. All the products are available individually but you do get a discount if you purchase a bundle.
I started with a piece of white card stock and the Wiser Stamp Set. I positioned the owl and the sentiment onto the card stock in my MISTI and inked them up with WOW embossing ink. I did use a powder tool first as I had my hands all over the paper. I heat set it next with WOW white embossing powder.
Once it cooled off I blended on some Glitz, Do-Si-Do and Flame inks starting at the top using blending brushes. Those brushes make ink blending a breeze. I used a micro fiber cloth to wipe down the panel removing the ink that sits on top of the embossed areas. This is the embossed resist technique. Next I used a drop of the re-inkers with a splash of water and added splatters to the panel - matching the re-inker color to the blended ink on the panel. I did the same thing with the Champagne Gold from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors.
I cut a couple of the arrows out of one of the papers from the Woodsy Patterned Paper Pack and added them to either side of the sentiment. I added the panel to a card base using craft foam then added a few of the Omaha Sequins to finish the card.
