WHIMSY PENGUIN CHRISTMAS CARD

I'm back with another card using a Whimsy Stamps Digital Image. Have you checked the Passionate Paper Creations & Friends Facebook Page? Whimsy is a Sponsor and they have a great SALE going on right now. Not a member of PPCF? No worries. Click HERE to come join in on all the fun.

There's not much that's cuter than a penguin except for a penguin with a Santa hat maybe.  This is the Penguin Thinking of You Digital Stamp - so cute right?!
I printed him onto some white card stock then used a mixture of Copics and Altenew Artist Markers to color him in.  I die cut him into a circle then masked him off. Using a combination of Distress ink and Distress Oxide inks I blended on the sky.

Since alcohol markers will bleed through the paper I die cut another circle the same size to put on the back. I die cut another circle out of heavier card stock, added a scor line about a 1/2" from the top. I added scor tape above the scor line then adhered that circle to the back of the penguin piece. I cut a very small section from the bottom of the back panel - you can just see it in the pic above. This makes it so the card can stand still and won't roll away.

I used some white acrylic paint mixed with a tiny amount of water to splatter snow all over the card. A simple embossed sentiment finishes this card.
