If you know me you know that I am not much into Halloween. I'm kind of the Halloween Scrooge. It's never been my thing - even as a kid. When our kids were little it was very different. I still didn't love Halloween but I loved seeing our kids love it. We'd decorate - one year hubby and the kids made gravestones and decorated the yard with them - they loved it! We'd carve pumpkins and do Halloween inspired crafts, and they'd dress up and we'd go trick or treating and there was always fireworks somewhere to enjoy and we'd drink hot chocolate while watching. Sometimes we'd have a bonfire and roast hotdogs and marshmallows and make smores. Now that they're older and moved out I'm back to being a Halloween Scrooge. What can I say - it's not my thing.
BUT these Squad Ghouls are so much fun and so cute I can't resist playing with them.
I embossed a piece of black card stock with the Going Batty Background stamp and the Black Magic Embossing Powder. I just looked and that powder isn't available anymore but I did link to something similar below.
After I embossed the panel I ran it through my die cutting machine using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Dies and one of the Ghouls from the Squad Ghouls Die Set.
The sentiment is from the Everything But The Broom Stamp Set. After I stamped it with Midnight ink onto some white card stock I cut it with the same stitched rectangle so the sides had the stitching to line up with the embossed panel.
To stamp the ghoul on the panel I put the card base into my Misti then positioned the embossed panel where I wanted it. I fit the stamp into the opening on the embossed panel, picked up the stamp with the door of the MISTI, removed the stamped panel then stamped the image onto the card base. Worked perfectly!
I added some acetate to the back of the panel, put some foam tape everywhere, added some Mockingbird Heights Sequins on top of the stamped image then adhered the panel over top.
I added a few sequins to the front of the card to finish it off.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
Stay safe everyone!!
