The Color Hues Challenge Blog is turning one! If you haven't checked them out yet and like doing challenges then you should definitely pop over and join in the fun.
This time the challenge is to use the colors Yellow and Orange. Typically these are not colors that I gravitate to but I was excited to play along.
I started with a piece of white card stock, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade Oxide Inks. I blended them onto the card stock then cut it with the 2nd largest die in the Lawn Fawn Stitched 4 Bar Rectangles Dies.
I put the card base into my MISTI then placed the ink blended panel in the center of the card base. I inked up the butterfly, stamped it on the panel. I removed the panel, inked up the butterfly and stamped it onto the card base. I added craft foam to the inked panel then added it to the card base lining it up with the butterfly on the base. You can see just a little bit of the butterfly peeking out from under the inked panel
I decided I wanted to add some gold splatter but only to the panel so I used the frame from MFT's Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil to cover the card base then splattered on some Light Gold ink from the Gansai Tambi Starry Nights.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
Stay safe everyone!!
