I have been wanting to participate in more challenges and decided tonight was the night. I searched up a few of my favorites and decided on The Color Hues and Freshly Made Sketches.
The Color Hues colors for this challenge were Turquoise and Coral - two of my favorites and the sketch challenge looked like it would work for the idea that was brewing in my head.
I love the bunny in the Birthday Wishing Stamp Set from Colorado Craft Company and have been wanting to try the storybook coloring with it. I chose two light grey Copic Markers (N0 & N4). It's so easy to do that I think I'll be pulling out some more stamps to try it on. I love the look - perfect for clean and simple cards.
The image only has one balloon but I wanted two so I stamped the image onto the panel then stamped the balloon portion again onto some scrap paper. I stamped it twice and used Coral Cabana and Aquatini ink from Catherine Pooler Designs to color them in. Instead of using a blender pen to add color I just swiped the ink pad across the balloon then cut it out and added it to the panel. I added a swipe of grey Copic Marker along the bottom for a bit of shading then drew in a balloon string with a fine tip marker for the second balloon.
The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Many Ways Stamp Set from Catherine Pooler Designs - one of my favorites for birthday sentiments. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder onto black card stock.
The panels are cut with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackable Dies. I used the second largest one from the large set for the top panel and the largest one from the small set for the bottom panel.
A little bit of Tea Rose Copic marker (93) for the nose and the ear and this card is done.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
Stay safe everyone!!
