LIFE IS SHORT

I've taken a bit of a break from everything lately. We've had a death in the family, some health issues and we're in the middle of fire season. A neighboring town was completely destroyed by fire in a matter of minutes. So scary! My hubby and I decided to pack up the trailer and the dog and head out to a lake a few hours away to relax for a bit before some upcoming appointments.

I chose to do some ink blending with a couple of stencils and two inks. I started with the Scribbled Hearts Stencil and Bellini ink. I sprayed the stencil with Pixie Spray to adhere it to the paper then using a blending brush I added the Bellini ink.

I repeated the same process using the Rose Stencil and Tutti Frutti ink.

Next I used the large stitched rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Die Set to cut the panel...

...and added it to a white card base with craft foam.

When I was rummaging through my stamps I saw this sentiment from the Sunshine Flowers Stamp Set and with everything that's been happening I knew it was perfect. The Peeking Pets Stamp Set also jumped out at me. I wasn't sure how I would use them together but I knew I was going to use them.

Originally I was going to put the dog at the top of the sentiment which is why I cut it out with the extra bit hanging off the bottom.

I decided to change the placement from my original plan and add a handwritten sentiment that looks like it's hanging out of the dogs mouth.

I love how this card turned out.
The layered stencils were fun to do and I definitely plan on pulling out all my stash and play with them.

Hug your loved ones!!

 Happy Stampin'

and thanks SO MUCH for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
