Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to be taking part in my first hop with the Facebook Card Hoppin' Group. This group hosts monthly hops to inspire and motivate others to create.
This months theme is Rainbows and the technique is either shaker or spotlight. I chose to do the spotlight technique.
I used the Beautiful Day Floral Stamp Set from Catherine Pooler Designs, I stamped it once in the center of a piece of card stock cut to 4x 5 1/4". I then masked it and continued to stamp the image filling the panel. I used a small image from the set to fill in the gaps.
Once the panel was covered I used a circle die to cut out a portion of the panel.
I used the inks listed below and a sponge dauber to apply the inks in rainbow order to the circle piece. I sponged some grey ink around the edges of the rectangle panel then adhered that to a white card base. Next I added some craft foam to the circle piece and then added that to the card base making sure to line it back up to it's original spot.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I embossed it in white onto black card stock - one of my favorite ways to do a sentiment. I'm thinking now I should add some sequins. I think I'll go back and do that before I mail this card.
