I combined the Beach Retreat Inks - coming May 12th -
(Aren't they gorgeous!!!!)
with some new stamps and dies from the Waves of Happiness Collection - also in the shop on May 12th -
and with some other fabulous ocean themed stamps and dies from Catherine Pooler Designs to make this fun card.
There's something about the ocean that I find so calming. It was always my happy place - I still love it but sadly I don't get to visit it as much as I used to - but I've had an absolute blast playing with all the new ocean themed images.
I used the Making Waves Background Stamp, some white embossing powder and the 4 new ink colors to make the background panel. I embossed the image in white on watercolor card stock then set about doing some ink smooshing using ink straight from the re-inker bottles. I used the large stitched rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Die set to cut the panel down then added it to a white card base with some craft foam.
I die cut a circle from the Circles Die Set and blended some Tranquil and Cove Blue ink around the edges then layered on some of the images from the New Ocean Chums Stamps and Dies that I colored using a blender pen.
The sentiment is from the Vitamin Sea Stamp Set - I love that it comes with a coordinating die. I used a black marker to fill in the letters completely.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card from this amazing release.
