This was not the idea in my head when I started out. I was originally planning a one layer card but as is the way with card making - some times things change.

I wanted to use the back of the floral images to add color to the flowers but they weren't solid so I had to use a little bit of tape runner to get them to stick to the block. I'm not sure what the style is called - maybe abstract - but I love the look of the messy ink.

I wasn't liking the stems so much, that's when I decided to die cut the stitched rectangles and raise one up. Originally I was going to add a different sentiment along the bottom or the side but with the new layers I opted for one of my favorites - white embossing on black card stock.
I'm not much of a 'bling' kind of card maker but I did add a few sequins to finish it off.

You can check out the whole process in this video or click here to watch it on YouTube.

And now it's time to hop!
Next up is Nancy but before you go leave me a comment for a chance to win the $50 Gift Certificate.

Gorgeous card, Susan! I love the pops of colour over the classic black & white. And you used just the right amount of bling :)

Your "messy" flowers are so pretty, I thought they were watercolored. You rangled in the crazy stems perfectly! Love the wonky sentiments for this card. Enjoyed the video!
