OCEAN DEEP SLIMLINE CARD WITH CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS

This card did not end up how I intended but I love how it turned out. I started by stamping the Making Waves Background Stamp onto a white slimline card base with embossing ink and heat set it with white embossing powder.  I used the new Beach Retreat inks and blending brushes to cover the whole piece. As you can see in the picture below, it's not lined up but I decided to use it anyway knowing I could hide the flaws.

To cover up the fact that it's poorly stamped I used the Cleo Slimline Die. I put the solid piece on the card and then adhered each of the 'throwaway' pieces with some liquid glue back in their spots then removed the solid piece. I'm sure I'm not using the proper names of the pieces but I hope that makes sense.

Next I stamped the images you see with Midnight ink, colored them in using a blender pen and a variety of ink colors then cut them out with their coordinating dies. I stamped and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder then blended Cove Blue ink over top. I used craft foam to add it to the card base then adhered all the images in a cluster around the sentiment.

Happy Stampin'

and thanks SO MUCH for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!

Susan
