LOW TIDE OR HIGH TIDE

Hi Everyone!!
I hope you are all doing well and making time to do something you enjoy. With everything that's happening in the world right now it's more important than ever to practice self care - whatever that looks like for you. Lately for me that means lots and lots of chai lattes.
This past week has been a bit stressful for me. A couple of years ago I had an issue with my right eye where something was detaching from my retina - not serious, I got through it with a tiny spot that has remained on my eye that I constantly see. It happened to my left eye last week but this time it was much worse. I had some tearing, bleeding and a hole and a lot of spots all over my eye. It was like a tiny fish net covered my eye and there was a ton of stuff caught in the netting. I ended up needing a laser treatment to stop it from getting worse and losing my sight in that eye. Then 2 days after all that while things are healing I get some bug bites. On both of my eyes. Yup. They both puffed up and got really itchy and the whole right side of my face ended up puffing up.
The swelling is going down and the itching is getting less. The spots in my right eye are lessening, they're not gone yet but I'm hoping in time they disappear completely. In the mean time I'm drinking another chai latte :)

Enough about that. Let's talk about this card.

I love coloring the octopus from the Ocean Chums Stamp Set - it makes me smile especially when I use bright colors.  I used a blender pen and a couple of blue inks to color it in then cut it out with the coordinating die. I used a white Posca Paint pen to color in the suckers on the tentacles and to add a little highlight.
Once it was all colored in I layered it onto a panel that I layered with the Cleo Slimline Die cut to fit the panel. I adhered the throwaway bits back in their spots. I adhered a strip of paper from the Black Tie Gala Paper Pack - I chose the circles because it made me think of bubbles. I added the panel with some craft foam then added the sentiment.

Remember to make time for some self care.

 Happy Stampin'

and thanks SO MUCH for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
