YOU TAKE THE CAKE

Hi Friends! How's everyone doing with their New Year's Resolutions? Do you make them or do you just make small goals? I've decided instead of saying I want to lose x number of pounds because I always fail I'm saying I want to be healthy in whatever way that looks on me. I actually started this one about a month ago and I'm happy to say I am being successful in a way that I never have been before.

I also made a goal to be more consistent with my blogging and video making. I'm not off to a great start with that but I'm working on getting my house organized this week and then my craft room and once that is all done I am going to make a schedule. My craft area is so unorganized since our move - it's also a bit of a dumping ground for everything that doesn't have a home in the house yet and for things waiting to be used on reno projects. Because of this I don't always feel productive or creative when I'm in this space. But all that will change!

Now let' talk about my card for today.

One of my goals for this year is to send out more cards. I'm great at getting the cards made but not so great at getting them sent out. The Birthday Cake Remix Stamp Set (and the coordinating die set) is really going to help me get cards in the mail. This is such a cute set and you can get so many different looks with it depending on what techniques you do.

I kept this card really simple by stamping the cake layers in 3 different colors and then adding the icing. I stamped the sentiments on the cake and on top instead of candles. I cut the panel with the large stitched rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Die set and then added it to a white card base with craft foam for dimension.

This would look super cute in some really bright colors or you could do a monochromatic look, or 3 shades of the same color - the possibilities are endless!

Catherine Pooler Designs is coming out with some new ink color. Check them out below. They'll be in the shop on Wednesday, January 13th. You can buy them individually or if you purchase the whole Date Night Bundle then you'll receive a discount and who doesn't like a discount.

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today and 'listening' to my jibber jabber in the beginning.

Happy Stampin'

and thanks so much for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
