First I want to wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!
It's the first Friday of the month and the first Friday of the year and here at Scrap'n Stamp that means it's time for a hop.
This month the theme is all about Slimline cards. They are SLIMSATIONAL and tons of fun to make.
There's a fun prize up for grabs. Someone will win the Picket Fence Slim Line Die Cutting System that you saw being used on everyone's cards on the hop.
PLUS to celebrate the New Year if you use code "finally 2021" you will receive 21% off your order.
You should have arrived from Chala's blog but if not I've linked to everyone below for you.
Time to share my card.
I love this sentiment - Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful - 2020 was not a great year but we had a lot of wonderful things happen in our family and I am very thankful for that.
I decided to pair that sentiment with the Crazy Cats, Dogs and Birds from Tim Holtz. I love the expressions on their faces - they say what everyone's thinking about this last year.
I colored the images in with my Prismacolor pencils and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I created the scene using Distress inks and Distress Oxide inks, blending them on using a mask to divide the two areas and then using the MFT's Cloud Stencil to create clouds.
I stamped the sentiment onto a die cut circle, added some clouds and then popped it up on the panel. I added the panel to a card base with some craft foam for dimension and then added the crazy animals.
I'm the last one on the hop but if you missed anyone I've inked to everyone below. Be sure to check them out and leave a comment at each one for a chance to win the Picket Fence Slim Line Die cutting system. It's a fantastic set.
