What do you do when you have more candles than cake?
You pile them on to all the layers.
I started this card by stamping the Dotted Bursts Background stamp onto white card stock with WOW embossing ink and heat set it with WOW white embossing powder. I blended on some Tiki Torch and Samba inks and then die cut the cake pieces with the Birthday Cake Remix Dies. I cut a piece of icing from the same background piece and blended on some Lime Rickey ink.
I cut a piece of Black Tie Gala paper, layered it onto a white piece of card stock then adhered that to a white card base. I added the cake pieces with craft foam for dimension.
Next I stamped the candles using the same inks and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered some directly to the panel and some with craft foam.
One little cherry and an embossed sentiment finish this card.
I love how this cake turned out - the heat embossed background stamp gives the cake an element of fun. I think I'll try out a few other background stamps and colors.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
Stay safe everyone!!
