Balloons and streamers always mean a party and who doesn't love a party on their birthday. Unfortunately with the way the world is right now parties are not an option. At least not parties in person. You can still party on Zoom which is where I was when I made this card. Some of you may have even been there too. It was a Zoom party on New Years Eve celebrating StampNation turning 10 this year. It was a lot of fun.
I started this card with the Round Balloon Stencil, some inks and some sponge daubers. I sponged the ink on for each balloon leaving a little lighter spot for the highlight. I used just one color on each balloon but by leaving a lighter spot and keeping it dark around the edges you can create some dimension.
Next I cut the panel to the size I wanted using the large stitched rectangle from the Postage Stamp Dies then drew on some balloon strings. I stamped the sentiment from Happy Birthday Many Ways with Midnight ink and then decided it needed something else.
I inked up the streamer image stamp from the Party Like It's stamp set using all three ink colors and stamped them at the top.
I used the Rocks Ann Background Stamp to create the bottom panel. I added all three ink colors to the stamp and then after stamping it I used the ink colors again to sponge the edges.
This was a quick and easy card to make. You could have a lot of fun using different color combinations for these balloons.
